Good bye cruel world!

We'll that it for me. I picked up my 2010 Volkswagen CC yesterday and I'm never looking back!

It's not a luxury oriented as my TL was, but it moves! That dinky little turbo 4 really get's the car going at 4 all the way to redline. I'm impressed. Build quality is superb! Is light yet stiff and solid. I'll up some pix after work, that car's a real beauty.

Anyway thanks everyone for all the help over the years! I'm sure i'll be stopping by too see all you crazy bastards with your 6 speed mods!

P.S. the 2010 came with a DSG, FUCKING AMAZING!!!! Shifts instantly, and you never feel it, I was blown away.

Here's a teaser. There are two red dome lights that come on when it's dark. Apparently it's a german thing, but it really lights up the center stack without distracting you. Niiice!

If you mod it like that..damn..I'll be jealous.
For me..I've seen to many Vdubs with major probs and wouldn't wanna be the guy havin to shovel out a few Gs to get it fixed. I'll stick to Honda reliability when I get a new ride.
But anyways..congrats in the new ride and stop by every now n then. Oh and MORE PICS!!!

Sucks for you b/c you're missing out. VW/Audi have come a looooong way in reliability. Much different then the way things were 6-8+ years ago. Plus, they have warranties which take care of everything. You can do a search b/c this has been discusses at length several times, so no need to hijack this thread... but our last two Audi's spent pretty much no time in the shop which is more then I can say for my last two Acura's.

Anyway, OP... definitely need more pics. My neighbor has a CC and it is HOT. We like our A6 more which is why we did not go that route, but when the A7 comes out we will have a decision to make. Very hot!! Good luck with her!!

Oh and forgot to post, if you think the 2.0T is peppy in it's stock form, wait till you do a reflash. You'll have a smile on your face every time you get on the gas.

http://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_up...tsi_trans.html

For the money and simplicity, it's the best upgrade you can do. I regret not doing it earlier on my A4.

Mileage is pretty good, I averaged 27 on the highway from NY to DC in traffic, with the AC on, and the car isn't broken in yet.

As far as mods go, its a lease so I'm gonna keep it mostly plain. I am gonna get a set of nice rims and summer tires tho. Tints, blacked out tail lights, clear turn indicators, chrome muffler tips. Little things, stuff I can easily take off after 3 years.

Because it's a lease I'm gonna stay away from the engine. The only think I will do is probably get a Sprint Booster, which basically works with the electronic throttle to get rid of the turbo lag. Its $150 and totally worth it....

I know that intake, exhaust, chip = ~300 hp on this car, which would be totally nuts, but if the dealer sees that crap I'm screwed, the spring booster is small piggy back for the harness which I can easily take off when it comes time for service.

As far as Honda reliability goes, they're not infallible. I had a 2nd gen TL, trust me, i know.

Awesome site, hella over priced tho...

$4000 for adaptive headlights

I am gonna get the euro cupholders tho, the US market ones don't have a cover and look really tacky.

Yea, some of the parts are way overpriced, but they are what they are. Some of the stuff though is worth it.

what color is the car? you can chip the car (with the chip that you can just take out before going in for the service), and some dealerships will even install the chip for you and warranty it as well.

Congrats....

As others have said you will have to post some pics. I know VW is having some awesome deals on the CC this month. Did you use their purchase or lease program?

I am surprised you mentioned its not as luxury oriented as your TL. What model of the 2.0T did you puchase? I sat in one this weekend and was blown away by the luxury features (CC V6 4Motion). It had more features than the 4G TL and was priced the same. I was also surprised when i opened the rear door and the window dropped a fraction of an inch then back up when the door closed. Those are features you see on MB......Very Very impressed with the CC and congrats once again as you have a great looking car.

If I can chip without any headaches, then I'd go for it. The car is black with black interior. I wanted blue with two tone, but the only dealer who had was trying to rip of me off and wouldn't negotiate. The black and black has grown on me tho, esp once I tint...

the apr chip offers a switchable tuning system and security lockout feature that allows you to put the car back into stock mode and then lock it down so that the dealership can't tell it's chipped. If you're car happens to get an ECU update from the dealership, all you then have to do is take your car back to where you got it flashed and they'll put the tune back on to your car. Some shops will charge a minimal labor fee to re-install the flashing program, other's won't, just depends on which shop you go to, but once you've bought the tune, it's yours for life.

I'll be taking my A4 in for service in the next month for an oil change. It'll be my first oil change since getting the tune so we'll see how well it works. Matter of fact, it's only my 2nd oil change on the car.

So all you have is the chip? How about intake exhaust? Please let me know how it goes, I'm pretty nervous about voiding my warranty. Esp since i play to drive this car brutally and give it back at the end of the lease for it be someone else's problem.

Honestly, intakes haven't proven to offer any significant gains over the stock airbox. I'd save your money on that mod anyway.

All I have is the APR reflash at the moment. My next upgrade will either be the A.W.E. Tuning Intercooler or an exhaust. I'm leaning more towards the intercooler though.

If you haven't yet, get on some of the VW boards and start looking for a dealer that is mod friendly. There are plenty of them around, many offer tuning programs installed by the dealer.

Red is a german thing, apparently unlike other colors of the spectrum it doesn't make your pupils dilate which reduces eye strain.
