Getting bored with my lease... considering a purchase
Well, I leased out a lexus Is250 back in april and lo-and-behold, I'm kinda getting bored with it.
It's lightyears better than my last car, I can afford the payments just fine, but I'm just flat out bored. it's an auto (my last car was a 5 speed) so I yearn for the shifting every now and again.
What are my options as far as getting rid of this lease? I just recently found out about lease trader so that might be a good idea.
Would I be able to trade a leased car into a dealership? and get into a purchase with that dealership? Probably not... or?
I've been looking at a Pontiac Solstice GXP 5speed recently, and since GM is hurting pretty bad right now I'm sure I could find an amazing deal on this car. Anyone have an idea or opinion?

You most certainly can trade a leased car in. If you call the bank who the lease in through (toyota financial?) they can provide you with a payoff amount.
It's really the same as trading in a car you were financing and hadn't paid off yet. You will probably be a bit upside down in the lease though so you might be rolling some negative equity into the next car.
In the end you can trade in a leased car on a purchase (or another lease for that matter) but whether it is worth it to move forward only you can decide.

You are only 4 months into your lease and you want out? Yea I think you will be rolling A LOT of negative equity into the next loan.
Let us know how this turns out though.
Swap-a-lease.com is your best bet. IMO

I looked at the is250 when I was buying my current car. I love the looks, like that its from Toyota, I was almost sold already and was picking out colors. Then I drove it
Booooring. Just wanted to say, I feel your pain. I could see why someone would get one, but I can see how you would get bored fast.
