Which generation of acura are you driving now?

How about the acura you are driving now?
Are you satisfied with it?
Will there be any problems in your daily life?

@MaXpeedingRods
Welcome to Acurazine. You seem to be asking a lot of generic Acura questions. Keep in mind the Car Talk forum is for non-Acuras. If you have specific Acura questions I suggest you post them in model-sepcific forums.

I'm not driving an Acura now.
The answer to the previous should answer this one.
This is a pretty personal question...

I've been having trouble falling asleep as of late.. I mainly attribute it to an overly stimulated/overactive brain but I guess it could also be that I still own an Acura

Maybe some universal coilovers and turbos will help me sleep better at night

Unfortunately, the last generation of Acura I personally drove was a 3rd generation TL. After that, there has been nothing in the lineup that would attract me and my level of auto enthusiasm.

That being said, I did buy my ex-wife a 2016 MDX in 2019 and she absolutely loves that car.

Had a high hope for the new TLX Type S. Seems like a disappointment again.

1) 1G NSX!
2) Love it
3) It's too low to get out of my driveway without some scrapes on the front lip, the A/C is currently intermittent (common issue), and I have to beat women away everywhere I go (substitute women with men).

My sig says it all. North American suburbia (but my Acura time was in Japan, so does that count?)

The NSX does it. I just park and get far away.
Wasn't my intention when I got the car but whatever helps society out.

One of the big eye opening things I had with my S2000 was that more dudes are interested in it than women.

The Jeep on the other hand...

My last (and only) Acura was a 2G TL. Car was on it's 3rd transmission when I got it & it give me a few years of pretty trouble free service.
When I got rid of it, it had an intermittent hot start issue that I was struggling to diagnose.

Very Happy, but interested to see what the new TLX Type S brings.

Building on a lineage of driver-focused refinement, the all-new TLX Type S is the most powerful Acura sedan ever. Developed by our top powertrain engineers with decades of winning motorsports experience, the TLX Type S features a dual-scroll turbo V-6 engine that delivers 355-HP and 354 lb-ft of highly responsive torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via rear-biased Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) for blistering acceleration and confident handling.

TLX Type S arriving late May 2021 well-equipped in the low $50,000s.*

That is what the Acura website says. So is it better than an Audi S4, with more torque, features, and horsepower for less money? This seems like the better deal to me:
2021 Audi S4 for $50K

Until we see some actual performance figures, I’ll bet BMW / Audi / MB runs circles around the TLX Type S.

Like I said I'm interested to see what the new Type S brings. I've read a fair amount of what has been published/speculated to this point. In term of Audi's in general, I have a negative bias as I know entirely too many folks that have had too many stupid issues with Audi's over the years. Doesn't mean I'm not willing to look at Audi's but out of the gate, not a fan. Performance aside, I think the A/S 4 is a fair amount smaller dimensionally than the TLX, no? I'm not looking to go smaller.

Prior generation MDX. Great SUV -- mostly reliable, though had some issues with the battery that have been shitty. Going on 7 years though and still as comfy as the first day

(and ditto for me other than I built my driveway so scrapes are no problem )
