A minivan is perfectly fine when you have a FUN car as your second car!

Unless you're seen driving said minivan..
Just get a full size van / conversion van / SUV.

We used to have a MPV 4WD back in the day. It was a nice looking and featured van but damn it drove weird... the front felt disconnected from the back - so loose.
Folks have a Mazda CX9 now, that is pretty nice and solid feeling. Drives nice.

Who cares though? A car is a tool and for efficiently moving a lot of people and shit around, a minivan is second to none. The only difference between most three row "CUVs" today and a modern van is the sliding doors and a mild lift kit.

I disagree - the Ford Flex is more like a big station wagon, than a minivan

In my book, a van has it's engine shoehorned in.. the flex does not meat test.

Indeed, though we'll likely get a new SEL, unless I find a screaming deal on a CPO or lightly used Limited EB.
We'll test drive both, but the price jump from a moderately equipped SEL to an EB Limited is likely more than we'll go for. Especially since we're both wanting to get new cars.

The only difference between a Ford Flex and a minivan is the sliding doors. So...you're essentially driving a minivan.

Plenty of room, usable 3rd row, decent power from the non-EB V6, seems to handle well (I didn't drive it), especially since it sits a lot lower than the typical SUV.

It's classified as a crossover.. as it should.

Yeah I do agree it kind of takes the best from wagon, minivan, and SUV and puts them together. It's not too bad on the eyes either, with its retro design cues.

I don't give a tofu crap about how it looks or drives as long as it's comfy for the family. It's just a daily anyway.
DD = drive between track days and/or canyon days.
I drive like a granny when DDing.

Minivans did suck to work on. I had to change the spark plugs in the rear bank and the coils and some other shit because of a crappy engine design that would make the van stall out (never was recalled). The intake manifold had to be taken out to get to it. With hand tools it took me all day. But shops wanted between $700-$1000 for labor.

You can say you HAVE to drive a Minivan but you cannot say you like Minivan...
The only van i would like to drive is Bangbus.

I honestly didn't know that's TLX or RLX.
Not sure if that's a good thing.
