That i8 is seriously fast. So is the 4c.

But the GTR and 911 Turbo are on a completely different level.

I really thought the GT-R would claw its way back. That 911 is really quick everywhere.

Uh, what irony? A Driver's car is typically centered around things that don't involve drag racing.

I think that's the irony in it. An M3 has always been thought of as a drivers car, the Camaro was always the drag racer.

As true as that is, with the Z/28 going in a completely opposite direction for a Camaro, it's not hard to believe that the way it feels as a "driver's car" also did a 180.

The Z/28 was a small-block V8 developed for Trans-Am (road) racing, like the Boss 302 Mustangs.

The big-block V8 Camaros-- in SS trim and otherwise-- were the drag cars.

That hasn't been case since the second gen models. Since then, the Z/28 and SS shared the same block. The fourth gen SS was, oddly enough, the one set up for handling.

This is awesome.

A guy takes his F40 camping with him...and here are the pics of said camping adventure.

Who says Ferraris are not practical?

I thought the same when I looked at the front of it. But the engine bay looks legit.

I'm torn. I get a kick out of seeing cars like that being used for odd things, but at the same time, the F40 is such a rare and expensive car it almost feels wrong to do that.

Not that odd, actually-- there hasn't been a stock big-block since the 2nd gen either, as all the stock V8 Camaros since then have been small blocks.
That was better for balance and handling, which is why the factory options such as the IROC and SS packages focused on handling rather than drag strips.

The superchargers now produce torque that was only available with big blocks back in the day, so...

good point - the '97-'98 SS was like their "track" oriented model right?

Would LOVE to hear 40% when I hear from him next week.
No change
Apparently it's still waiting to be built. Once that happens though, things happen quick. Will wait another week to call. Getting impatient.

I keep looking and can't find anything around $35K that is compelling enough to trade my car for ... Which is crazy.

It's all two year old E-Classes and year old C-Classes and a bunch of boring FWD automatics.

Why do we make such boring cars?

What are your requirements for a car again?

4 door, RWD, hatch preferably, and under $35k?

There have been a huge shift in the entry/mid level of sports/luxury car in the past 4 or 5 years.

$35k will no longer get your anything "desirable". You can get top of the line Econo box or stripped base Tier 1 cars.

Everything you want is in the high 40s to mid 50 range. That is the reality, face it.

Now pay up.

BTW: starting Oct. 1 BMW will have another small price hike.
