G35x Awd

Seems that Infiniti is going to start selling a 330 Xi / 3.0 Quattro competition later this year.

Just got this by email:

I'll care when it's offered in the Coupe. Also I wonder how many problems they will have with the first year of it - or has this crazy high-tech AWD been available in Japan for a few years already to work the bugs out?

To any Engineers, I have a question about this AWD system. Since it is adjustable, wouldn't it be more prone to breakdown vs. a full time AWD system.

I'm with you on that one. I used to get 25-29 on the CL-S and I only get 24-27 on the G. Not birtching though!

ya notice theres no performance lux-coupe out there for under 100k that has awd? if acura made a 2dr tl w/awd, they would get a decent size market IMO

I think that is very cool. Wasn't Evo 7's AWD system also adjustable? I think by road condition and type.

Yeah but being able to RIPOUT under 1/2 throttle is worth the 1-2mpg cost of admission, if you know what I mean!! And I'm speaking from a Maxima point-of-view, not your more powerful G35C point-of-view.

Peace.

i acutally get better miliage with G35C stick than my type S auto...

i had never got anything over 270 with 30 dollars in my CL and i consistantly get over 330-360 with 37 bux in g35C... maybe stick does save more gas...

same type of system they've been using on the gtr so while it may be high tech, its not really new ground for nissan.

FYI, I'm getting significantly better gas mileage with my Z compared to my CLS. Last fillup for the Z, I got 24.4mpg average where most of the time I was only getting 19-21mpg for the CL.

It's probably partly due to the fact that I loved the pull and sound of VTEC
