Old news. The AWD system is a variable system, where it can adjust power between the front and rear wheels.

One thing I can say for Infiniti, they listen to their customers and give them what they want.

Give it some time. Nissan/Infiniti seem to have their shit together, but they do understand the strategy of car selling.

You introduce new stuff slowly, so you can maximise return buyers. Just like they put out the 350Z, and then the roadster, they'll probably introduce the AWD slowly so some of the original G35 buyers will want to upgrade to the AWD G35.

My wife likes the G35 (I'm not too big on the sedan.. but whatever, it's her turn for a car). I kept telling her no b/c of the RWD, then Infinity came out with this. Funny thing is she heard about it a few months ago. Guess she really wants this car

Yeah this has been around for awhile. Infiniti has to put this in their G35c. They'd sell even more with AWD as an option.

rationalizing the TL purchase? don't worry the TL has a down right sexy interior and exterior.

I dunno about that. The TT seems to do quite well...and is a hell of a lot fun to drive.

Damn...not quick enough!

But I'd still get the 1.8T with 225hp over the V5 250hp.

Yeah, I did...I meant "V6"...my bad.

I know, the TT is becoming a little passé but it's still a blast to drive.

hell yeah, 225 + a chip will run high 13's low 14's....not to bad.

great car...guy I know sold his 450 hp S4 for a V70R (wagon version of the S60R) and a Lotus Elise. He loves the V70R. I sat inside it and it is no non volvo inside...it's great. Great all around car for the $$$. With a chip and exhaust work it can push 360+ hp.

looks like typo....I would definitely take the 4 over the new 6. I don't like the auto personally. The aftermarket for the 1.8T is great anyway. Too bad Audi won't bring back a 5 cylinder engine. Their 20 valve 5 cyl turbo engines were their best by far. Tons of potential with the single turbo. At leas the new 4 cyl turbos will be 2.0 liters soon. They will be 16 valve though to save room for the direct inject fuel injector. Should be interesting.

I've actually heard the gear changes aren't that quick from friends who have driven in in europe. I'm wondering if a transmission chip will help like it does for the current titronic tranny's.

The VQ can take a few more ponies from the factory. I'm sure that would happen if/when the AWD system is added.

The new TT with the 3.2L V6 and that F1 style auto tranny isn't reallly that fast at all. Check out this video.

The TT gets destroyed by the Z, and the woman (5th gear chick) is driving a little too wild to get fast times:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul_scott/TTvsZ350.mpg

It's a pretty funny video. The woman looks like she's enjoying the Z a bit too much

She drives like a complete idiot. Getting sideways out of each turn isn't exactly the fastest way around the track. I prefer the looks of the TT over the 350 as well.

Yeah, but she drives the TT quite well compared to the Z. There is no comparison between the Z and TT on the track. Looks, I used to like the TT more, but the styling is getting old to me. I like the Z better as I own one, but I think eventually the styling will get old too. Happens with these coupes

The thing I don't like about 5 cylinder engines is all the shit they have to do with balance shafts, etc. to smooth things out. Why not just pop on an extray cylinder...more power and inherent balance will come from that. Spend the money there, not on trying to get a 5 banger to run right...

very true, I'm with you there, but we have to take what they will give us. Seems like the end result of some of these 5 cyl engines isn't so bad. Take the volvo S60R/V70R.....very smooth and great power delivery. But yeah, a 3+ liter inline 6 setup for FI would always be far more welcome.
