70% people still can't pronounce HYUN. many still say hyouuun daaai
i have 3 korean friends who's name is HYUN something something
and people usually say
1. haa yun
2. hee youuun
it drives them crazy. so my buddy always say 'i'm hyun rhymes with sean'

Ghetto folks here in NJ have been pronouncing it "HON-DAY" since the moment the 1985 Excel hit showrooms.
Then again, literacy has never been the strength of that demographic.
