It's not the brits, that sounds like an Oceanic accent. New Zealander or Australian

also, why the hell was that 'vette commerical banned?? God forbid they have a slightly underaged person driving their car to add emphasis on the final punchline. Friggen conservative America

EDIT: yeah it's definatetly Oceanic. "The niixt generayshin Heeyunday Santi Fay" as opposed to the GB English "The nehxt generayshun Hyundahy Sante Fahy"

Funny because right now I'm doing my Linguistics / Language Sciences homework

oh, and the car looks pretty damn good. The interior shot was really short, but it looks impressive

yeah dude, friggen bullshit. Seriously, do people HONESTLY believe that children will see this commercial and go out and drive recklessly in a Corvette or any other car? It really pisses me off, I can go on and on about how I hate stuff like that. Like how people blame video games and movies for actions.

If this commercial aired here, people would bitch about how it promotes premarital sex / courtship at too young of an age among many other things..

I have work to do. I'll stop my rant here

its a liability issue for GM and if you think thats annoying, look at honda. They're spokesperson is damn Cartoon! Im surprised they put out those INDY commercials. The one with random honda cars driving at a ridiculously slow speed but with and INDY engine sound clip...

Ghetto folks here in NJ have been pronouncing it "HON-DAY" since the moment the 1985 Excel hit showrooms. Then again, literacy has never been the strength of that demographic.

I take it you do not recall the "Hyundai rhymes with Sunday" ad back in the mid-80s.....which lends itself further to the second line in my previous post.

I was afraid you might read into it that way. What I meant was that the ads at the time stated (paraphrase) "Hyundai: Rhymes with Sunday" but many folks continued to call it "Hon-Day" despite the ads.

I'd say it's the "liberal America" with a political correctness stick shoved so far up it's ass, it's tasting bark.

As Palmolive used to say, "I'm soaking in it." (That is to say I'm actually surfing on Sprint's service now) and I'm lovin' it.

Great commercial too, by the way.
