Friend went down...
One of my friends went down today while we were riding, it was seven of us. It happened at turn, he said his helmet visor was little bit open and bug got into it . Good thing was that he was wearing Joe Rocket jacket (it was mine, I gave it to him yesterday earlier cuz he doesn't have one ). He had few scratches on his hands (he had no gloves ) and his jeans pant did well. He would've had more injuries if he had no jacket and also when his bike slid, he was already on off-road and dirt saved him.
btw his bike is 04 Suzuki GSX-R750
Here are few pics I took.

Crotch Rocket riders!! Owned by a bug. Damn.
But honestly, a bug will not take a rider down. Inexperience will. I had what must have been a wasp fly in my full face helmet. All I saw was a dark blur, followed by my upper cheek burning. Pulled over pronto, threw my helmet off and saw nothing fly out. But I had a spec of blood on my cheek. Took me 20 mins to get home and put ice on it.
Jatt. Just be very cautious of riding with someone that has messed up 3-4 bikes. He is a danger to those riding with him.

Yes I'll be more carefull now, before we took that ride, we went to Cycle Gear, and he would turn off our bikes on every stop, which pissed off. I told him several times not to mess around while we ride but he doesn't listen. I guess this was another lesson for him.
Now when he gets another bike, I will tell him same thing for last time again and if he doesn't listen, then no more riding with him.

Buy a cruiser instead of a rocket and dont ride around like a jackass... your not going to want to sling your knee out and whip around a corner and any speed on a cruiser. Reality is every time you do that on a crotch rocket on public roads you take a chance of bailing... there isn't much rubber on the ground keeping the bike upright... sand, small rocks, oil, water, antifreeze can all easily lead to you falling... all of those materials are constantly changing on the roadways...
A lot of the crotch rocket owners ride their bikes on the streets as if they were on a controlled track surface. Granted, don't misunderstand me, there are some CRAZY cruiser guys out there too. But it's not majority like it is on the rockets.
In general guys buy crotch rockets because they want Enzo ferrari speed/handling and they think they can handle it. Reality is most of the guys shouldn't be riding those bikes.
You don't need to ride around like a monkey on crack to enjoy a motorcycle. I've been riding since I've been 8yrs old. Owned many rockets, and I switched to crusiers because I don't need to go 180MPH and whip around corners to get what I enjoy out of ridng. Riding around like a monkey on crack is just playing the lottery, and the payout is injury to yourself.
I'm glad he walked away from it! Sucks when someone goes down

wow... half of me gives him credit for getting back on and riding again... the other half of me wonders when he'll wake up and realize maybe riding isn't the best thing for him to be doing.

4 years of riding and he has been down 3-4 times already?!?!?
Either he rides waaay to agressively, and outside of hills skills, or he flat out needs to learn how to ride.

^ he rides good but he's too much into stunts and shit.
The two riders that were behind him told us that he wasn't doing any wheelies but he was jus ttoo fast for the corner and went out.

That squid is gonna get seriously injured or have a short life.
Guys like this that ride without proper gear, and then ride outside their limits give bike riders a bad name.
