Found a CL 6 speed at the junkyard...
I was at a junkyard looking for a driver's side mirror for my Crv because someone hit it when I parked on the street (blessing in disguise), when I came across a CL and decided to pop the hood. Low and behold it had a 6 speed trans!! I get super excited and can't believe what I just found.
A J swap civic has been on my list of swaps I wanted to do but was towards the bottom of my list because of the $1000+ price for a Lsd trans. I also knew I should get one sooner than later because the price of transmissions would keep going up due to the rarity of them.
I had to leave it because I didn't have the right tools and didn't have time to drop it. I go to work later that night and have nightmares that someone will take it before I get there the next day. After off work I head back to the junkyard and wait for them to open. I nervously walk to where I saw the CL and had visions of seeing a stripped out car but luckily it's just as I had left it.
A few hours later, I'm proudly wheeling back the 6 speed trans, shifter cables, shifter box, ecu, half shaft and flywheel. I haven't slept in about 30 hours and was dealing with a little sickness but it was well worth it for this unicorn find.
Ill be heading back for the engine and harness some time this week.

yup... if you log in to AZ when you are on Vacation as much as when you are at work, you need to get your priority straight
