I never owned a cl, but my insurance with a clean record on 3 cars (04 gto, 04 sti, 05 Rav4L) is 2240 a yr and the sti is the most expensive to insure of the bunch at 890.

I can also have accts with military credit unions, and have my Renters Ins with AFI..
USAA isnt the cheapest..they are usual more on the expensive end of things...but they are the best for auto insurance.

Mr Steve what is your major malfunction? Do you not understand? Why are you wasting time tip-typing about car insurance when you need to be buying the gto RIGHT NOW? As in log onto Ebay and START BIDDING!

The GTO rocks. That's another weekend driver possibility for me, while keeping my beloved TL as a daily driver.
Getting it for less than $20k would be a huge plus...while I understand that the 2004 is "not as good" as the 2005, you can't beat the power for the money. I mean, people are talking about the LS1 as if it's chopped liver!![rofl](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Go for it, MrSteve!

I get better then my first gen CL which got about 18-20. So far i'm avg 19 just on my daily driving (100 miles a day, a lot of stop and go mix between freeways and streets). I did a 200 mile round trip to the casino friday night, got 24 mpg.
So, no; gas mileage won't really be worse then the CL. I don't baby the car either

I think I'm going to have to end up selling it though. It's just too much of a drain on my finances trying to go to school at the same time, and education is way more important.
Looks like I'm headed towards an older Firebird...........
