Reflectors have lights in them that turn on with the parking lights/headlights...I won't cover that. The car is small enough that most people can't see me when driving, last thing I need it to cover lighting!

I have no intention on painting the entire car. All we're talking about in this thread is if I should paint the wing matte black or leave it body color, that's it.

My first Avatar....
Would a flat black vinyl wrap work on the spoiler?

Just a quick update...I don't think they started working on my car yet, but I suggested to him to wrap the spoiler and splitter in matte black yesterday, this way if I don't like it I can always take it off, he agreed that it would be a good idea, so I think that's what we're going to do. I think.

Finally started working on it...I told him to leave it as a surprise as to if he's going to leave it body color or paint it..
Sucks though, weather is so nice the next few days and I can't drive it..

Black would have been better. Surprises are not my thing...I'd rather know what was going to happen with my car.

Still waiting for the fkn car...I hope to have it back by next week...
In the meantime, figured I'd upgrade the audio a little bit and install when I get the car back..

Got my car back Friday, which is why I didn't really get to post any pics....It looks better than I expected it to. Also looks a lot better in person. What do you think anyway?
Also matched the splitter in a matte black wrap:
Considering how badly the fiberglass splitter went to shit last season because the gritty material underneath would catch the pavement when not careful enough and just crumble away, I replaced it after only two months of abuse with a new one. They also wrapped it in vinyl, and I figured I would wrap the edge of the splitter with black door edge trim, this way if it hits the ground, it hits the vinyl trim on the edge, somewhat protecting the splitter. The plus to it is it also matches the diffuser in back because Lotus wrapped the edge of the diffuser in a door edge-like trim too, so it works well together, I think. It would have been nice if it was a matte black too, but this was all I can find:

Wow those turned out great Eddie! Congrats!
Personally I would have done color-matched yellow or a gloss black, I'm not a huge fan of matte pieces on a gloss car. BUT as long as you're happy that's all that matters

^I feel you, and agree that body color would definitely have been better looking. I guess there's nothing wrong with being different, plus with it being wrapped, I can always peel it off if I decide to go back to body color. The interesting thing this is that the color and texture almost matches the color/texture of grilles around the car.

I really like it in black. I think it goes really well with the black wheels.

Love the black.

I would love to have a Lotus. Very nice!
I vote for yellow spoiler, but the black does "match" the black scoop trim and black wheels nicely. I also don't really care for solid black rims, unless they have some sort of chrome or other outer edge or rim. The solid black wheels blend in too much with the tires IMHO.

I mounted 3 of the 4 wheels, but didn't balance them yet. One of the tires had a plug in it when I bought it. I just sent the tire out to have them take out the plug and to patch it instead, and the dude told me it's too close to the corner of the tread for a patch, suggested that I not patch the tire and just get a new one. Being that these tires are a bit rare, I check with Tire Rack (I have a wholesale account with them), it would cost me about $300 for the tire + $15 heat cycling + like $10 to ship - about $325 total. For one tire.
OR
I'll ditch the tires, try to sell at least the 3 good ones (plenty of people out there want them), and order a fresh set of Toyo R888's. Out the door including the price for them, heat cycling and shipping, it would cost me around $825.
What to do?
Toyo R888:
Or Yokohama A048 (What I have now):
