Also, the fact that the CR-V idles forward when no pedals are pressed is something I have keep in mind.
So, once stopped [in the Tesla], no brake is required? Does it auto brake-hold, with brake lights illuminated?

Indeed. "out of the box" it has regen on Standard (high) which slows the car down around town (I would say it's pretty noticeable under 55. The car coasts mostly normally above 65) and the brake auto-hold at stop. Brake light are illuminated during regen.

We have a Tesla showroom about 5 miles from us in an 'upscale' shopping center, may eventually stop in & at least look. No Tesla in my future, but curious enough to give one a drive.

By far the weirdest part of the test drive is when they tell you to get in, set a few settings, and then put it in drive without really "starting it". It's super weird the first time. When you step on the brake after getting in the car to switch into gear, you get the closest thing to it "starting" when all the systems kick in and the lights all show on the touch screen.

I would be concerned about ICE cars feeling archaic after spending time with an EV. Not ready for that yet.

Honestly, the drive didn't do that for me. What kind of did was the idea of not having to go to the gas station. I'm not there yet, but the idea of "filling the tank" for $0.08 per kWhr is pretty appealing. I think that comes out to like $4.00 to $5.00 depending on the "full percent" I choose (I usually run 80% for a "full charge")

No idea. Put in a service request to have the "Hyundai Optima" mode installed.

Adds a lot of weight too, IIRC

My impression is that the batteries are spread throughout the floorboard, so the center of gravity remains low. But still. We don't have to deal with snow, so

That does make the Model Y a potential pickup for the member of the family who has managed to roll a car.

Thanks. I swore of black and my wife wanted the red, so we went with the red. My TSX was red so in general I like it on cars.

well played.
Honestly, I don't have a problem with either when the I'm called to duty.
Got that older guy dick control now.

BTW...
I would want P100D dual motor with Ludacris mode.
But they are so much money so I'll just stick with Audi stuff.

I'd love to be able to compare them all, but yeah, the performance models are super expensive

I mean, I suppose I would only include models within my possibility of owning.

Model 3
Model Y
Model S

I wouldn't own a roadster or an X

Yeah, hopefully that tech makes its way down to the fleet. Priced one out and yeah, I'm not BoostedJack.
