Time for new underwear.

I don't see how anyone can seriously like Lambos more than Ferraris.

I love Ferrari's sound, design, & overall package as a car, but I've always had a soft spot for the rawness of Lamborghinis.

Agree to disagree, sirs.

Heritage is what wins it for me...the Californias, and 250GTOs and Testarossas, and F1 lineage.

...call me a crazy, but I'd take a 6 spd F355 over any Gallardo.

me too. Gallardo does nothing for me looks-wise. and also I am quite annoyed that it shares engine with Audi - that to me is a for a true exotic.

I have driven 6spd 355 before and oh my god. one of the best feelings ever is hitting redline in that car.

How is that a no-no? The Gallardo had the 5.0L V10 3 years before Audi took it & stuck it in the R8. And the LP560-4 had its V10 2 years before R8 5.2.

You're not honestly saying just because Audi decided to take that engine that the Gallardo ceased being an exotic after 3 years on the market, are you?

Besides that, I suppose the Venom, Mosler, Wiesmann, Ascari, Koenigsegg (pre-CCX), Ultima, Apollo, & a small array of others are not true exotics because of their powerplants? You could argue the Zondas aren't all that exotic considering their V12s derived from the SL-Class more than the actual CLK GTR.

Honestly, both are outstanding cars. I agree about the rawness and beauty of the Lamborghini. Ferrari is rich with heritage-ain't nothing wrong with that either.

I consider Ferraris to be almost a work of art, gorgeous curves that flow; they are beautiful. Lamborghinis give off a big muscle feel, like the car is going to eat you and move onto the next victim. It's that aggressive look and feel that I love.

I'm a huge Lamborghini fan, I would buy one in a heartbeat, but I think a Ferrari would be a more practical vehicle for day in and day out use.

all you lambo fan bois go to your own thread!!

but yea i'm ferrari over lambo every day of the week.

It wins my heart over for reasons I dont know why

Not saying I dont like lambos though. I do not like murcilago though. The aventador is a sexy car. But I'd take the 458/F12 over it cause its even more sexier.

During the Chrysler era, you would be right. The Diablo 6.0 & Gallardo though, are actually pretty usable vehicles. The Murcie's size makes it rather difficult.

Too early to tell on the Aventador how much their owners use them.

good points. I am still not a fan of the Gallardo, the engine thing is just an annoyance. And, regarding the other cars, yes I do think they are 'lacking' in a way because they don't have powerplants specifically designed for them. But at least the manufacturers have tweaked the hell out of them to make them their own beasts. I mean clearly the engine in a Zonda doesn't sound anything like the engine in an SL. Perhaps what is mainly important to me is the performance of the engine and it's exhaust note. I am not sure. But you brought up a valid point. I've always had this "snobby" attitude about engines, I do like cars having their own specific engines.
