Yea, the appearance was designed by Walter deSilva, the guy who also designed Alfa Romeo 156 and Seat Leon, so no doubt it's not gonna be a bad design. But if you were to compare its handling, and ride with the BMW 3 series, then they are not even close. Sure it's built on the new chassis known as MLB, with new suspension design, less weight in the front, while A5 specifically has 40/60 torque split, but seems like all of these don't help the car to outhandle the bimmer, both steering feel and actually cornering limit. Also, the suspension setup is too stiff and thus the ride is only comfy on very smooth roads.

I figure the A5 FWD 3.2 will start at about $40k and the S5 at $50k.
Which is interesting because that would mean the A5 would be disproportionally higher in the US than the currency conversion of an A4 would be.
Doing straight conversions (minus VAT or whatever the Germans have) an A4 in Germany is about 90% of what it is in the US. But that would put a FWD 3.2 A5 at $33,300 and I don't think it will start that cheaply considering the TT is in that area.

Quattro only in the U.S
Prices will be between the A4 and A6. My guess it will start at around $41k for the A5...
I think the car is beautiful but would never pay that much for the 3.2 engine.

Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today...? The OP said he never knew this car was coming out.
So, trying to be helpful, I suggested he look up the main thread where it has info and more pics. I wasn't saying this was a repost or lock it up, was I...? Seriously, WTF are you on about...?
