Yeah thats fuckin retarded. VW has a cool ad campaign and Subaru tries to steal the show with that POS ad. It's like the cool Miller Lite commercials with the referee's. Bud decides hey, they did a great job, lets steal it. If you can't come up with anything original on your own, stay the fuck away from ours.

Think people have to be semi retarded to think that a font like that would be in a real print ad by a real auto company, let alone the slandering aspect.
#1 this has been all over, #2 for a full out page ad, this looks like complete shit- duh it is shit, #3 its amusing, but subby and vw don't compete worth a shit, they are lucky if put together they survive.

Subarus do VERY well. They have just never been in the forefront of the media in the car world til reccent years.
Go to any mountain towns/cities, or places with heavy snowfall. You will see a number of subies around.
You may not like them, but that is a smug comment with no base to support it.

Has nothing to do with like or love for that matter. Subaru has no volume cars period. I don't give a shit if Canada/Colorado/Vermont bury themselves in snow to counter the effect. Vw sales in the Us are basically the same, nothing to mention.

Fact is Subaru doesnt have a foot anywhere near the grave, unlike say Mitsu...
And far as I know VW isnt hurting either.
Not every car company is going to be high volume, but its doesn't mean they are in trouble if they aren't.
So, if I'm a jackass for pointing out the obvious, then I guess you're the schmuck for overlooking it.

Much like civics and corollas are bread and butter cars for Honda and Toyota.

I'm willing to bet subaru does not produce the high volume of cars Honda or Toyota does. To go along with that There aren't nearly the amount of Subaru dealers as there are Honda or Toyota dealers.
So, the Impreza is a bread and butter car for subaru, they aren't in financail woes...so what the fuck are you agruing about?
Your original post said they will be lucky to survive, and they are surviving just fine.
Who is getting lost in their own shit?

You need to look at cars produced/cars sold. Not just total numbers.
If a company makes 10 items and sells 10 items compared to a company that makes 20 and sells 15, which one is doing better?

Could someone tell me why we are comparing sales of corollas that sell for about 15k each vs an imprezza thats sell for around 19k? What does both being entry level have to do with it, my guess people dont cross shop the two, same with imprezza and a civic.
Next you will be comparing 3series sales with TSX sales. TSX sells less but doesnt mean acura is in trouble. I mean hell the TL is their bread and butter but the 5 series still outsells it. Acura in trouble... no. So your logic makes no sense in terms of volume sales.
Yea VW is in huge trouble in the month of April

Volkswagen AG with Clear Growth in Deliveries, Sales, and Profits
Text from Volkswagen AG.
Wolfsburg, 28 April 2006 - Volkswagen AG reported clear growth in deliveries, sales and profit in the first quarter of 2006 compared with the prior-year period. Deliveries to customers rose by 15.1 percent compared with the first quarter of 2005 to 1.361 million vehicles. Sales revenue grew 21.4 percent to €25.3 billion. Operating profit before special items increased 55.1 percent to €726 million. “This performance is a further step in the right direction for the Group,” commented the Volkswagen AG Member of the board of Management, Finance, Hans Dieter Pötsch, on Friday. “At first sight, double-digit growth in deliveries to customers is encouraging. But this will not continue during the remainder of the year as it is based on weak first quarter figures for 2005.
