Evo owner gets ticket for oem wing.
No kidding. They bring up some good points in the thread.
The best one being the car has both a left and right outside mirror.
The guy could have had a Maytag strapped down to the trunk lid of his car and he shouldnt have gotten a ticket.
The OP's location isnt listed but AFAIK in CA No Front Plate is just a fix it ticket.
If I was that guy I would DEFINATELY go on record with the Police Station about the cop that cited me. Such BS should be condoned.

That the officer was not aware that the EVO comes standard with a rudder.

You are required to have 2 mirrors on your car. They can either be a Driver's side and a Rear View, or a Driver and Passenger Side Mirror. If you have both the side mirrors you can replace your back window with a peice of wood if you like or remove your Rear View Mirror completely. The fact is anything blocking your rear view is fine as long as you have both Driver and Passenger side view mirrors.
PS: Rudder's are vertical slick

That's nothing: Some flatfoot in New Rome, Ohio impounded some poor guy's brand new Mazda3 because he said, "it was NOT certified to be used in the US on public roads" (paraphrase).
NOTE: This was when the Mazda3 first hit dealer showrooms so, be careful when getting a totally new foreign car. They probably would have dismantled a new Evo.
