supposedly stock VS stock AT vs 6MT the AT turbo supra is faster in a straight line. Might be boreing but still efficient when it comes to puttin power down to the wheels.

Because it's generally easier to launch more consistently at the track. And, it's all that was built in '96.

 

it's not a gimmick.. I have read about this car before, supposedly it has very little lag because of the 3 small turbos... have you ever driven a big single turbo supra before? up until ~4500 rpm, it's not too fun. The lag is not as bad (as a single) with twins, but this 3 turbo setup doesn't seem to be a gimmick. It's not common cuz its a PITA to do.

would I ever get one? no.

 

I wouldn't want one, either, for a "daily" driver.
