Durham/Raleigh (NC) mechanic Question

Hey everyone. I am moving down to NC and was wondering two things:

1) Does anyone know a good mechanic in the Raleigh/Durham area?

2) Does anyone know of a good quality body work shop?

I was also wondering if we could have a NC roll call!

Ferizzo there is actually a few good shops down there in Raleigh. My parents live there, surprisingly enough there are alot of tuners down there and lots of Acuras. Just stay out of Durham at night unless you have a police escort.

welcome to the triangle. A good body shop is Brown Brothers which I believe is in hilsborough or chapel hill not really sure lol. but they have done some work on my accord. In terms of repair places STAY AWAY FROM AUTO PRO TO CALL!! it is in Chapel Hill right across from Performance Acura. I would recomend Leith Acura's service, I have nothing but good about their service if you need something done by a dealer to an Acura, but they don't budge on price at all for new cars

I live here in the Raleigh area. Welcome to to the area!

I'm not sure of any mechanics in the area as my car is under warrenty and I do all my regular maintenance and upgrades myself.

There are a couple of speed shops in the area. I've never checked them out but my neighbor works for one and it sounds pretty decent.

If you need any information on places to go or things to do, PM me.

Welcome to the Tarheel state and the Triangle!!!

I lived in Raleigh for a few years (NC State grad here) and Tao on Hillsborough Street is pretty good from what I've heard. I had an Explorer back then so I don't know personally.

ha u should see the documentary Welcome to Durham. I think the website is Welcome2Durham.com but it won't seem to come up, I am at work. Durham really isn't that bad, you just need to stay out of the bad parts. My brother has an import shop and lives in durham and never had a problem. Raleigh is pretty safe.
