^ just messing with you but

What if your DD that you are newly getting gets about 10 average mpg. Wouldn't that be discouraging under the today's gas prices? I just think, nowadays, the gas mileage factor actually plays much bigger role than before...

I average 20 mpg mixed city and highway... best tank was 24 mpg. Not bad for a 3560 lb car (with me in it) that has a 5.7 V8 and a pretty immature driver

Gas doesn't phase me too much right now. I think if my car got less than 15 mpg it might. I wanted an 03-04 SVT Cobra until my friend told me that his modded one (runs a 11.5 in the 1/4) gets 12 mpg. On the internet and real life I've never complained about gas prices.... and I'm pretty vocal about things

I figure cars that are fun to drive/that I actually want won't have too much variance with regards to fuel economy. Fuel costs are by far the most expensive cost aside from the cost of the car itself.... though on some cars you could be spending more on gas than what you paid for the vehicle by the time you got rid of it.

No way in hell would I get a car that gets 8 mpg unless I made more than half a million a year. I only say that because chances, are it would be a Ferrari. That said, fuel efficiency is near the bottom of my list of priorities, and a Prius is nowhere to be seen on my list of "cars wanted", period. I like the Prius a lot actually, its a nifty car, and quiet as hell and pretty comfortable, but I would never get one unless I had a wife and kids and the wife absolutely demanded it.

I drive up to 15,000 miles/year... full-time school and part time work, both year round. I'd be lucky if I made $20,000 a year... but I have no problem with my 20 mpg car, and don't plan on getting rid of it quite yet.
