Driving with cords showing on tires???
So sometime in the last week I wore through to the cords on one front tire. I knew the tires were very balled on the inside edge but I have a set of new wheels on order with new tires that hopefully should be here next week.
I hope I don't have to purchase a set of tires to last for a week or too. Only other option is I have a set of wheels from the TSX laying around that are 18x8 with 215/40/18 tires on that are basically new. I could put them on but thats loosing a lot of traction in the rear though.

I'd put on the 215/40/18 tires ASAP, no sense gambling with your car and you.
Three decades ago I had a blowout at 70MPH in my Dad's Toyota Corona on the freeway due to a bad tire in a similar situation. Not a fun experience, luckliy I got the car to the side of the road and only shreded the tire and rode the rim. Not worth the risk.

Cause the tires for my new wheels costs me 1k so I was trying to make these last while I waited on my custom wheels. My rears on the OEM wheels are fine easily have another 15k left on them. The front only lasted 16k cause of bad toe in that must have come from hitting a pot hole or something. Two matching fronts to match my rears are $600 more shipped.

You and me both. I it still looks the same as it did last night after getting to work so I hope so. The entire drive is basically highway the whole way. I mean if I wanted to I could always put the spare on but would prefer not too.

Yup. Just got off the phone with the custom wheel place and they said my wheels will ship out either this Friday or next Monday so I will have them Wednesday or Thursday the latest. Now I just need to make it that long.

Yeah good luck finding used 225/40/19s in the hood. Going to try and throw the Volks on tonight but I have no idea if they will even fit over the brakes. I think they should. It will be a large reduction in traction size but at least they are basically new tires.

Even if you have mismatched wheels for a week, who cares! Your saftey and life is much more important than having to deal with a few words about how your wheels don't match. If anything its something you can joke about with your friends!

Put the fronts on the rear, Wait till dark, have some one with a video camera tape your car, and go out and do a few burnouts. Have your friend tape your tires throwing sparks (dont ask me how i know that happens

Well it lasted another 35 miles so I made it home safe.
This doesn't work with the F the rear wheels aren't the right offset
or else I would love to do a smokey burnout to the old tires.
Will take pics of pink wheels when I get them on.
