Drivers giving you dirty looks

I absolutely hate those fucks who don't move out of the way. I just flash my lights at them once or twice and they move. Some get pissed off but that's because they don't know what SLOWER TRAFIC KEEP RIGHT signs mean. But some realise they shoul dhave moved in the first place and they just nod and I nod back as a sign of understanding. This pisses me off especially at night when you should realise that there are headlights fast approaching from behind and that they are obviously moving faster than you, then move.

Please buddy, stay out of the left lane for your own safety. If your going to do the speed limit do it in the non-passing lane. My coworker gave this same argument.. he said he was doing the speed limit in the left lane and was totally shocked when some guy rode his ass for a mile then cut him off & brake checked him.

when I used to drive a truck I would be restricted to the right two lanes. I used to HATE when someone would sit in the second lane going the speed limit like the car right next to him with noone for miles in front of them. Id practicially push them, I cant imagine the horror of looking in their rear view and seeing my bumper and grill about 2-3 feet off their bumper
Here's how I handle it:
1) If I'm the driver being overtaken, I move over as soon as I can for the faster moving traffic so we can both get on with our lives.
2) If I'm the overtaking driver, and the person doesn't move over, I will pass him on the right and get on with my life.
Passing on the right, while not ideal, is still safer than indulging in any form of road rage. Dirty looks, single finger gestures, flashing lights, etc... none of that will make the person change their ways so I'm not going to stress over it when my safety and the safety of those around me should be my primary concern.

And off to Car Talk we go...

It's always people from out of state and/or some trashed piece of junk car doing this around here. Almost always on a cell phone
And I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I love being flicked off by people that had to move out of the passing lane to allow me to pass. Like I'm doing something wrong

I got behind a group of old people in a new 5 series last night.. they were chatting up a storm going 50 mph in the passing / fast lane. Then I got blocked off by a train of cars passing them on the right.. I was so tempted to flick my high beams at them but I just took some deep breaths and waited for an appropriate time to pass, then as I changed lanes, they changed lanes almost cutting me off.. so I did a two step lane shuffle, I slowed next to them but they were off into some jovial conversation.

Left lane is for passing. If you didnt llearn that to take your liscense test go back and read up some. Same thing applies to stopping when buses are dropping off children. lots of uneducated drivers out there.

How about this - shitty traffic except in the carpool lane. You go the speed limit because you never know when some jackass in the bumper to bumper will decide to cut over. Someone is on your ass but you can't get over because the traffic is at a stand still in the other lanes?

I'm all about leaving the left lane open to faster drivers. But if you see someone actively overtaking someone, just wait until they are done. Flashing your lights = Texas Roadblock.
And the HOV lane =/= the 100mph lane.

The "passing lane" idea goes out the window on my commute home because of the traffic. There is so much traffic that it's rare you find somebody on your ass when you are in the fast lane. They can see that you can only go as fast as the car in front of you, and they know that they'll need space if traffic decides to come to a screeching halt on the downhill side of the drive. Surprisingly enough, there are more good drivers than bad...probably because they're all seasoned in a long-ass commute like mine, lol.

^ - Where is your commute to/from again? Were you going to San Jose? When I worked in Oakland I hated driving on 80/580. It was fine going across the Richmond/SR bridge and good through Richmond, but once 580 merged the amount of morons (I'll include myself because driving in the east bay sucks) increased drastically.
