Driven: Corvette C6, GTO, H2, CTS-V, and more (pics inside)
Autoshow in Motion | El Toro Marine Station - Irvine, CA
Great event! Nice amount of cars to drive and the lines were not long at all. My next car is definitely a Corvette C6 They let us beat the crap out of the cars, that obligated me to take the C6 to its limit The GTO was nice too, a lot of power in such a small car.
Here are the pictures and videos (sorry, crappy quality):

Wow that looks like a sweet event. I went to the Benz event which is kinda similar to the that but the cars were a bit more on the conservative side.
Did they have any 05 GTO's there or just the previous year ones?

I went to the same event when it came to Houston back in October. I got to drive the SSR, C6 6sp and the GTO multiple times. I loved the way the C6 handled and the GTO was a blast to drive also.

The C6 and the CTS-V are great fun.
They should have put the GTO in the same track as the C6 and the V though. The straight for the GTO is too short.
Oh, I think the GTOs are 04s, not 05s. Didn't notice the "nostrils" on their hoods.
There's also a Saturn Ion Redline which is suprisingly fun to drive. I drove that and the Civic Si back-to-back, and the Ion is definitely more fun. The interior is crappy though.

By any chance did you drive the auto GTO? I noticed there was a manual GTO sign so I'm assuming they had the 4a. I ask as I might get one and the wife needs to drive it too.
What were your impressions of the rest of the cars or was that it in ^ post.

Yes, they have Auto and Manual for both the Vette and the GTO. I didn't drive the auto for either of them though.
I didn't really think much of the GTO. It feels rather heavy. But then, I drove the Vette right before the GTO so nothing feels right afterwards....
I didn't drive many cars as I was there only for an hour or so. This is the third AutoShowInMotion I've been to, so basically I just wanted to drive the cars they didn't have before: The C6, CTS-V, STS V8, Pontaic G6, Civic Si, Saturn Ion Redline, Acura TL, and my personal favorite (NOT!), the Chevy Aveo. Didn't touch any trucks or SUVs.

The trick is, go Thurday or Friday at 8-ish. Tell your boss you have diarhea...
I was there Thurday at 8. Took about 10 minutes to register. Walked in and drove an Aveo (no line). Then go drive the CTS-V (no line), and the manual C6 Vette (2 persons ahead of me). Then to the GTO manual, Civic Si, Ion Redline, TL... all with no line.
In and out in a bit more than an hour. Took the sandwich to work as breakfast too!!
If you go on the weekend, like some of my friends, you have to expect lines. They said they have to wait like an hour for each luxury cars...
