Holy sh*t! That's kinda scary. That car was totalled and he didn't even have a scratch on him. A similar thing happened to me in high school with my 240sx- and walked away without a scratch.

While I agree that what you said is true, many people that do have D.L.'s shouldn't. But, he stated that the throttle was stuck and it accelerated through 3rd gear. Whether that is true or not is at best difficult to tell, or at what speed it became "stuck."
