Drift fans here???
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if there was any drifting fans on the forum. I discovered drifting myself back in 97 when I was on a business trip in Japan...Since then it became like a drug to me...I attend every Drift competition in the US that I can. That forced me to subscribe at different driving schools to get better and improve my skills. It's been ten years and I've gained more confidence and control, and as any drifter will tell you it ain't easy. I've heard the whole - it's abusing your car or why would you that- talk over the years. I need to mention though, that I do not do it on the streets since I'm aware of the presence of others on the road. I need to confess that I've turned off my wife's M5 traction control system a couple of times while driving in the twisties and on our street since there's only two homes... during winter time. Thanks for reading my little story and answering me. If you can share a little story i'd appreciate.
P.S Tokyo drift is a nice movie but does not have enough drifting scenes( I know im crazy) and doesn't really explain drifting origins.

I liked Tokyo Drift a lot better than the other F&F movies. Except some parts of the movie were just plain fake, like that part when you see him drifting on the highway? Terrible. So fake you can just barf.
I liked Initial D Live Action movie better. A LOT better, although their acting skills were terrible :P

I'm a drift guy. I plan on starting once I save enough money to buy my neighbor's RX-7.
By the way, nice lineup of machines. May I ask what kind of business you're in?

You asked what kind of business I was into...I opened my own architect cabinet it's been 12 years now and I work full time.
I only work 3 days on 7 and I get lots of free time to drive.

Similar to my preference for speed skating over of pairs skating, I prefer conventional auto racing over drifting.
