just saying hi to a fellow Brooklynite, and it was a nice read !

it must be a 24/7 kinda job it seems

getting cars at auction is not for the faint of heart

are there good quality cars in neighboring states ? (my dad always said he knew a guy that gets low mileage cars in PA or something)

Hey guys, I can't believe this thread is still alive!

I haven't been focusing on used cars as much. If anything, they have been limited to either buying cars off lease and wholesaling them, or taking in cheap trades. It doesn't pay for me to tie my money up and stock many used cars when I don't have enough time to run that part of the business together with the new cars.

I've been busy, both personally and in business, these days, which is also why I haven't been on AZ that much in the last few months. In any case, here's a few cars that I've delivered since the last update...

I convinced the customer to add the orange accents

2 S550's, and an A6

A couple of Smart Electric Drives

Another S550 - but this was was loaded with almost every option you can check off...nearly $130k MSRP

Move along, nothing to see here...

New ESV

:shutupandtakemymoney:

RR Sport S/C

The Range Rover color doesn't look particularly appealing in pics, but in person, it's pretty sharp!

Wheel trim or ? I sell them...Good stuff!

Did a European Delivery on this M4...picture was from the client when he was in Germany picking it up

New C300 - nice car, but way overpriced at the moment...

Sweet '63

Another Escalade

CT200h with that wheel trim I offer

Totally random...I didn't deliver this car, but I saw it driving the other day and the second I read the plate...If you had a pager/beeper in the 90's, you would immediately figure it out within a second of looking at the plate...Guilty!

How's that for now?

Glad to see you're alive!

on the wheel trim for those two cars in the photos-- the trim looks orange.

Red would probably be OK on white or red cars, but not on the dark-colored cars with no other matching trim. Then again, if the customer likes it, the customer can haz...

The lease on my wife's car is up in like 2 weeks...You would think being in the business I am in it would be easy to replace with something else, I still have no idea what I'm getting her....Though the RDX is the top contender at the moment...

That $130k S550 looks almost identical to my grandmother's. Love driving it when I get the chance.

I saw a 911 GT2 in Banana Yellow today on my way into Boston. It had the matching yellow color on the "wheel trim" like mentioned/shown above.

Ok, hers doesn't have the full recline rear seats
Just the standard back seat with reclining seat backs on the outboard seats.

Not sure on that comment. My grandmother is on her 6th S class (89, 95, 01, 05, 07, 14) The 01 was the only one that had any odd issues.
I had an 82 S class also & it was 100% problem free at over 300k miles.

I think MB is still paying for that generation's issues. My neighbor has a '09 S550 with 88k miles on it and it's never in the shop.

The 01 was more just confusing interface with a few relatively minor real issues. The 05 was the MMC & it was significantly better.

I'm sure it's a nice truck, just doesn't do anything for me. I'd rather be in a Tahoe.

Doesn't do anything for me either...I was never a fan of the Navigator compared to the comparable sized GM trucks....This one has the Ecoboost V6, they discontinued use of the V8 in this truck....I will say I'm impressed, but lacks the V8 smoothness or signature noises.

New Q3. Nice little CUV, though I can't believe how hot and in demand these little things are...everything is pre-sold before they come in!

A Prestige Quattro Q3 is $40K. That seems like a magical cutoff number. If it was a MQB and not the old Tiguan platform, I would probably buy one. It would be cheaper than a comparable A3. But it uses the old 2.0t and platform and isn't quite worth it IMO.

I'm not sure i've seen the color in person before, but It'll do. She doesn't like black interiors, so anything I get her, she always asks for light interior...She's not the one cleaning it, so she doesn't know how much of a PITA it is to clean denim off leather...

This car was a Q3 2.0T Quattro in Cobalt Blue with Chestnut Brown interior...It has Premium Plus, Navigation, Driver Assistance, Power Tailgate, Wood Trim, All Weather Mats and First Aid Kit. MSRP is $40,325. He leased it for 48 mos/12k miles, tax included, in the low 5's. Not the best deal in my opinion, but he wants what he wants! He really wanted a Prestige, and when optioning one out, the MSRP is almost the same as this Plus model, though the lease residual is a little lower on the Prestige. Problem is, they are extremely hard to find. A Prestige was nowhere to be found. Option for option, the Plus optioned like this and the Prestige has almost the same MSRP, but the Prestige has a few added extras not available to the Plus...IIRC the difference was the Prestige would also have Audi Connect with Online Services, BOSE surround Sound, Stainless Steel Door Sills, Color Trip Computer, and Driver Auto Dimming/Power Folding Mirrors. Nice to have, but they weren't a deal breaker for my customer.
