I am just wondering if Acura cars have the same body paint processing as Honda cars? I am just curious because Acura paint colors are so similar to Honda paint colors, and yet, I thought that for a premium brand, the Acura paint process should be better than Honda's? No?

I note that the Lexus and Infiniti paint colors are pretty different from the Toyota and Nissan paint colors respectively. Do they use a more expensive paint process for their premium brands?

Only the RL's, NSX, 1st gen TL, Legend and Vigor had "better" paint.

Did one of the vehicles paint really run a bit upon the first wash(obviously not much, but the water coming off wouldn't be clear)?

I remember Acura boasting the Legends 5 or 6 coats of paint.

My '97 TL has 4 coats and has held up quite well in spite of having a LOT of highway miles and numerous rocks hitting the bumper.
