Do you think wagons will make a comeback?

I don't understand why they take away the ultra usefull and sporty hatchbacks like the RSX or Scirocco and give us Civic Si's with wimpy trunks and back seats that are cruelty by design or those nerdy non-sporty looking five door Mazdas and Honda Fits.
I hope for the enthusiast's sake that Acura offers an RSX replacement but I know that it won't be a hatchback, so I'm not likely to care when it comes.

We are talking about wagons and not coupes in this thread? right?
And Fits and mazda 5 doors are wagons which have a perfect placement for discussion in this thread. And comparing a coupe to a wagon is comparing apples to oranges. And to note, the mazda 3 5 door is quite a good looking car and the mazdaspeed3 is even better. Honda Fit sales are very high because of their practicality and they are quite fun to drive even if they don't have that killer motor you are looking for. But if you want, you could do a k series swap on the fit as a few have done.

we may be getting the scirocco if VW decides it wouldn't lower GTI sales too much

The Mazda's don't look bad, they just don't look as good as hatchbacks of old. They look cute more than serious.
