and in places infested with red light cameras. Not having plates on the gf's new car was pretty cool ... I'd cruise through yellows without a care in the world, with flashes going off like paparazzi. I'd even flip the bird once in a while. Still no tickets.

That wouldn't be hard to do. Get an actuator of some kind, make a slit in the bumper, mount the plate on something like a power window track, & wire to a switch.

The Mad Tight JDM YO guys have been doing that for a while. But not in the slide up form, they have the plate on hinges that fold into their cavernous ricer bumpers.
