Slight shift in front-to-rear weight distribution and slightly more weight on rear wheels for better traction, in addition to freeing up room in the engine compartment.

Like someone else said before, room for a bigger turbo and some people believe to shave weight off the nose of the car.

Oh come on. I could take a dump and get better front-to-rear weight distribution. CTS-v battery only weighs 15 lbs. It's definitely to free up more room for the turbo.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The R-tard leaves his car running so the dumb asses filming get a good laugh. The only truley funny thing is that the mechanic that he is going o have to take the car to is going to be laughing all the way to the bank!

He already ruined the cats so why not just leave it on and film it? He wasnt causing any more damage to anything else...

I've also heard of people relocating the battery to make the car a mite bit harder to steal

now that all cars have to have obdII ports, the newer cars are just getting scanned instead of them putting that clamp on the tailpipe.

a guy brought his e60 m5 in without the cats. I asked how he wasnt throwing CELs, apparently theres these new devices (phantoms I think is what he called them?) that you attatch to the o2 sensors and it tricks the ECU. Pretty interesting

Time to invest in an off-road X-pipe and a set of longtubes!

Alarm is powered by battery...
Thief pops hood, usually alarms go off....
Thief yanks off a battery cable....
Alarm no longer has power, goes silent

I'd assume most thieves know where the location of the battery is in your car when its stock if he's trying to steal it. When you relocate the battery to the back, he can't yank the wires, and thus he panics and/or gives up, hopefully.

.... I've owned an Integra before
