well, if you would like to give her some money I'm sure she would be happy to dig into your deep pockets.

Back to the real world....just got back from the dealership. My sister purchased a 2000 CR-V with only 39,000 miles. Got a great deal including a 7 yr/100,000 warranty and new brakes thrown in. Plus she got a great deal on her trade in. My sister had read that Thursday's are the best day to go car shopping, maybe she's right. Thanks to everyone for your responses.

after you purchased i would say that my mom and dad have a 1996 rav4 at over 150k and still havent had _one_ problem with it. Toyota is unreal. Only one set of tires as well and maybe 2-3 brake jobs. other than that, nada

CRV has better crash ratings, standard equipment, ground clearance and are all ranked as a good used buy onconsumer reports.......get the CRV.

My other car is a '04 CRV and my old lady loves it. We looked at a few others and this one stood out. I even enjoy driving it sometimes as a change of pace. I don't love driving because it was designed with women in mind.

You can't go wrong with Car and Drivers '04 small SUV of the year.

Check out the Escape. It was my our 2nd choice but it was a Ford vs Honda. It was a pretty easy decision.
