Went outside at lunchtime, and this neon SRT-4 comes creeping down the street in traffic. that thing was so loud, but not dumb loud, sounded like it had a V-8 in it. Are they all that loud? They don't have real mufflers on them do they?

 

Yes they do. They come with loud mufflers stock.

 

I thought they came WITHOUT a muffler because the Turbo & CAT reduced the noise enough.
I’ve been wrong before though.

 

that is what i thought, i read somewhere way back that they just had straight pipes off of the cat. either way, this thing was loud.

The car comes with straight pipes and resinators(sp?) on the tips for a great sound

It's legal if you leave the stock cats and all of that on since, like Shawn said, they quiet things down.
