Crazy wreck
I agree. It's sad. What kills me is that the owner could've parked it off the street, in back where each townhouse unit has assigned parking spaces.
Everyone in the neighborhood knows that cars parked on the main through-street (where the e30 was/is) are prone to get hit.

This happened in front of me a few months ago, coming down the hill from where I live. The car hit the pole on the right of this picture, then the woman over corrected and hit the smaller pole head on. Air bags deployed. I quickly threw on my hazards and went and got the kids out of the car and off to the side of the road. After that it was directing traffic for about 45 minutes until the police showed up. But funny thing: The first thing the cop did when seeing the accident was look at my car (Y plate, or American), saw no damage, then came down to talk with me. There were a lot of people at the scene, and no one was hurt. Was happy to at least try and help out.

That really sucks, at some point the county/city will end up towing the car as it's a hazard and probably scrap it. Hopefully the owner is aware and is getting compensation or is fighting for it. Sometimes owners go overseas and can't be reached for a while.
I had a buddy who went to Uganda and left his buick parked in his cul-de-sac in FL on the street. 6-months later it had the blue sticker on the window that it was going to be towed since his plate/registration lapsed (maryland tags) and was reported as abandoned. He ended up coming back the day before it got towed and had to get it registered in FL and all the sort and put it in his driveway from that point on!

Like I have said a couple of times, I'm not sure why it hasn't been towed already. Clearly it's not drivable and nothing good is going to come from leaving it on the street. Just wait for it to start leaking fluids on the street and cause another accident............
Just contacted police dispatch to send an LEO to check it out. We'll see what happens, but I doubt I'll be privy to any more details. In any case, I imagine it'll be removed within the next day or two.
