Angry Lucky To Be Alive

Driving back from Toronto monday night on 87 right by exit 13, I ran over a truck tire that was laying in the middle of the highway @ 80MPH. When I hit it, the right side of the car lifted and then I almost lost control of my car. Sliding around in the middle lane with 2 tractor trailors on both sides of me I managed to keep from hitting them. I pulled over and I must admit, I really didn't want to look at the damage. I ended up loosing the front and right underbody kit, the front bumper was also damaged. I also need an alignment. I got to the bridge and told the supervisor. He called a state trooper and I filed a police report. Now I have to wait 30 days to get a copy of the police report to evem attempt to claim for any damages. Well at least it was a great weekend til that point. I also asked the trooper to have someone remove the truck tire before someone gets killed. Thank god no one was hurt.

Holy $hit! I think we hit the same piece of tire. I was coming back home from Canada on Rt. 87. I was racing a mb s430 and jetta/passat. At the last second I noticed the tire and tried to swerve but it was too late. Even the s430 hit it too. I thought my front lip was ripped off. But when I went to inspect at a gas station, I was surprised that it was still on and only the corner was hanging.

That sucks big time man. I once hit something (still don't know what it was), it was late one night and it felt like an alternator from a car or something. It blew one of my tire, dented my rim and I also need an alignment. Called and reported to CHP, but the sad thing was that while I was changing my tire on the shoulder of the freeway, 4 more cars hit the damn thing and they had to pull over too. Piece of $hit California freeway.

In addition to the damage I mentioned above, I looked at my car yesterday and noticed the rock shield under the fender is also missing. Damn don't even feel like driving this car anymore.
