Couldn't resist the urge to get back to muscle

I bought a new 5.0 mustang,...been spending too much time with my old muscle group down at the track. Finally pulled the trigger on her,...she stays in the garage 5 days a week. I take her to the track on friday nights and then out sat night. She's a beast!!! stock low to mid 12's with one 11.94. Waiting for the supercharger and rear wheels/tires. My TL is my daily driver,...can't beat the comfort. Just too excited not to post,...yes a mustang on a TL site,...oh well

Fuckin' AWESOME!
With the S/C, how much power to the wheels would you have?

Maybe a Mod can move this to Car talk!

Very nice. Just make sure you've a deep enough pocket if the gas prices keep rising.

Congrats on the new car! Remove those 5.0 on the fenders, it looks tacky.

Yeah, my brother has one as well as a guy I work with...they are fast as hell! I actually considered one when I was shopping. However, I made the smart choice and went with a four door.

Have fun!

I traded a Kona Blue GT for my 2012 TL. Other than the sound and manual transmission I really have no regrets. It was a fun car for the year I owned it but was just not on the same level as the Acura.

They definitely make a fun weekend car though!

Congrats and nice! Wish I could afford one and also keep my TL but I'd have to make a choice and the 'stang just isn't comfortable enough for me as a daily driver. However, I have very fond memories of my '66 GT - only car I ever owned I wish I'd never sold! Enjoy and keep us posted on the mods.

While they are fast they aren't for me. I have run mid-high 12's. Congrats though.

Looks great! Most everyone I know that tracks them generally run low twelves from the garage to the strip. Full tank of fuel, factory tires, and absolutely no modifications. The 197 was designed specifically for a Mustang and to evolve over it's lifespan, with the structure and much of the mechanicals being used to accommodate varying horsepower loads and models.

NIce ride. Looks great!

My buddy was debating on a 5.0 Mustang and a Camaro SS. He eventually went with the Camaro though.

The new 5.0 gets the same mileage as my TL...not sure why he'd need deep pockets for comparable mileage

he also said it's his weekend car and TL probably wastes just as much gas as this car.

My friend has one with a few modifications.

He has a tune, off road x-pipe and an axel back. The car is quite fast a high 11 second car for sure.
