Beautiful car. Interesting you got plates already. Must be NY rules.

Dealers are min-DMV's here and can issue plates.

Any pics of front DRL on?

Interior?

Love the wheels

Thanks!

Are you going to D badge the X drive at least, or that and the 650?

there is no tint except factory tint and the pano roof is not an option but standard equipment. I tell you what, I LOVE this car. I love looking at it, driving it, everything. I just loaded my entire iTunes library into the hard drive (holds 40K songs) and have my music at my fingertips. It's going to take a year to figure out everything this car can do and I will give it my best efforts to do so. Yes on the black kidney grilles IF I can find that option for Night time vision . . .

Then saw your car closer and saw you have it too but more towards the front

Got it

This thing hauls ass, the sound system is amazing, the dynamic damper (keeps the car nearly flat cornering) is an unbelievable experience. I took it on a tight, twisty road nearby, put it in "Sports Plus" mode, shifted via paddles and man oh man!! On the highway cruising in "Eco Plus" mode, it gets pretty decent gas mileage for a big V8 (23-25 mpg). Happy Happy Happy

Maybe you want to keep those runflat on, but if you really want to feel the car, remove those Runflats ASAP with a nice set of summer tires.

The difference is night and day.

I leave this part of the forum for a few days and the Chief picks up his Gran Coupe.

What an absolutely gorgeous car. It's simply perfect-looking. BMW hit a home run with this car.

Congrats and enjoy in good health!

PS Bimmerzine is in full effect in this thread, I see....

I think it is the best looking BMW currently

What surprises me is in the land of Lala land, where I see 2-4 Alpina B7 a day, and 750iL, M4, M5 are more popular than Toyota Corolla, I hardly see the 6 gran coupe.

As good as it looks, in an image conscious world I wonder why more people don't drive it.

oonowindoo: I think BMW finally figured out how to tune the suspension on their cars to match the ride of the run-flats, it sure seems that way. On my 5, the RFT's were horrendous and I switched them out; on the 6 it is very unobtrusive. My wife's 335 has RFT's and when she got in it the other day for a ride, she asked "does this car have run flats because it sure doesn't feel like it." I bought tire/wheel insurance for 5 years that will replace tires that get damaged in any way except intentionally (slashed) and repair/replace wheels for $1500. I think it's a good investment since I have to imagine 2 tires and one wheel would probably equal $1500 or pretty close to it.

neuronbob:thanks bro! I have wanted a 6 series car since the mid-80's and now I finally have one. Beautiful in person, in fact, I'm looking at it right now!

2012wagon: that's the number one reason I love my car-I don't see any of them on the road. Surprised they are not more popular in LA.

Urs is quite exclusive

I can remember the only one M model gran coupe I saw

However I see plenty of a7 and cls all day long, which are the natural competitors

I Agree with you about the improvement on the runflat but they still suck big time.

If your old 5's runflat was 3 out of 10, the new ones will be 5 out of 10. better, yes. Good? No.
There is a reason why M cars do not have runflats i think your V8 Twin Turbo deserves a nice set of summer tires.

Hey i am just doing what AZ does, convincing people to spend on the unnecessary things.

I'd say the 5's OEM tires were more like a 2/10; the 6's are more like a 7 or 8/10, seriously. I've spent the $1500 on the wheel/tire insurance now, there's no turning back, nor do I want to at this point in spite of your attempts to separate me from my $$$ .

I'll just say, removing the runflats from my 335i was one of the best "mods" I've done to date. Completely changes the car.

any plan on getting rid of the E60?

I'd never drive a sport ute-ever. I don't care if it's an M or an AMG, I'll never do it. I love my E61, it still drives like new and has all the utility of a sport ute but has the sport package with different suspension.

I looked at some Alpina B7's. They're surprisingly affordable with less than 20K on the odo.

They are amazingly affordable

Have you seen Alpina b6? I saw one in la

Funny about the b7 a lot of people don't know about Alpina and think it's riced modified
Hilarious

I am glad the b7 now comes in Lwb . S8 doesn't come in the L version

Many people want highest performance in long wheelbase and don't want the 760il or a8l

Around here used m3 sedan v8 model cost same as used 740 and 750
People think you are balling in the 7 and not in the m3 (general public thoughts )
