I'm not a "Mercedes kinda guy" so the CLS is definitely out. I've driven the A7 and liked it. I was at the BMW dealer yesterday and they had a car exactly like the one I posted originally-drop dead FN gorgeous with Cinnamon brown interior. I'm torn on the Panamera-I like it but it's too god damn much money for me.

Nice write up on the Panamera, Airwick. I've read good reviews on the car...just still, can't get past the exterior...and particularly that rear. But, that interior is dynamite awesome.
Chef would have to test out the BMW, Porsche, and also consider trying out the Mercedes CLS and Audi A7 before he buys methinks.

Meet Cayman XL and Cayman S! I'm LOVING the flippin awesome Cayman. After tracking them back to back I'd take a Cayman S ANY day over a 991, 991S, 991 C4S.
Having driven both the BMW 6GC and the Panamera within a couple days of each other, I would take the GC over the Panamera if enjoying the drive is important to you. The 6GC shrinks around you when you drive it and feels smaller than it actually is. The Panamera still feels huge, even though it handles well and has plenty of power. It never quite feels as nimble as a car with a Porsche badge should.
AWD models with PASM + Sports Plus probably makes a huge difference? I will agree the rwd Panamera and Panamera S didn't drive right to me at all. Definitely lacked the precision handling I'd expect from a Porsche.

That's really interesting, I felt the opposite was true! It feels almost exactly like a 911 when driving. Even when you chuck it around through a 90 degree corner at 40mph it doesn't feel big.

Does he drive a new one? I was amazed at how well the F02's felt for such a big car...my '08 is a little bloated. There is a guy that tracks his F02 and its funny watching the stuff he passes on the track.
I may be bias as my dad has had 7's since early 90's...made a mistake and went to a S500 in 2000 and HATED it...now in a tesla P85+ and secretly has regrets not getting in another 7.

One of my colleagues has a 6GC with Xdrive. I LOVE seeing his car in the parking lot, it's one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. He loves it but doesn't push it on the road.
A7 is another gorgeous car. Between the two, I'd get the A7 based on looks and interior. However, it'd be a tough choice.

But yah i agree, the build and material quality is not the same as 5 series but it is also cheaper.

I'm cramped in a 3 series...or even a 5. Here's something funny...an accord has almost identical interior specs as a short 7 series (bigger in front room actually).

As long as your kids enjoy the ride.
i moved out of Arcadia in 2004 to the ghetto, East LA and now in Baldwin Park, so yah still in the ghetto.

Honestly, I hated the A/S7 when for a long time. They've grown a lot on me & they're pretty uncommon on the road around here.
I'd take the A7 over the 6GC, but an M6GC over the A/S7. But in the end, I'd be all over a CLS63 AMG-S (MB fanboi)
6GC<A7<S7<M6GC<RS7

We own a 2011 335xi and it is too small for me to go on a 4-6 hr trip in.

2012+ is significantly bigger.
i know very well how tiny E90 is.
F30 is noticeably bigger inside than E90, especially rear leg room. But again it is not an E class or S class big. But bigger.
of course if you got the $$, get 6 series GC by all means.
But i heard you can get 14 535 M sport at some ridiculous rate right now.

I love the 5 series-but they are EVERYWHERE and look no different (by much) than a 3. That's my big problem with them.

535 M sport looks VERY different than 335 M sport.... to me... but not to my GF.

So, I've made an executive decision and 6GC xDrive, white it is. I was having this conversation with two brothers on the ski patrol with me and one said "why don't you get a VW GTR?" "Because I'm too old to be cruising around in a go-kart is why." I have been scouring and found an Apine White 6GC xDrive in Atlanta with 12K, M Sport, Executive pkg., BMW apps, Lighting package for $68K. May be headed off to Atlanta soon . . . stay tuned.

Congrats!
Coincidence, I'll be riding/driving done to the Amelia Concours this weekend in a M6 Grand Coupe Competition Package. Owner is one of the people we're going with.

Def. 640
my 530xi T is a rockstar in snow, I would expect nothing less from the 640.
sounds good Beanie!
No, I'll keep the 530xi T for my hauler/winter beater car.

I have discovered in the last couple weeks, that a 650 is going for nearly the same $$ as a 640 with a better warranty (2013 650 vs. 2014 640) with equal mileage. I'll have made up my mind within the next few weeks on which one I'm gonna grab. This 650 ticks all the boxes except for the interior color (I prefer cinnamon brown):
