This could all be avoided if everyone would just go out and buy an M3 . I don't want a race against a CL-S to be close, I want it to be an absolute murder

Alright! Another CL-S vs. 325/330 thread! Gee...you guys aren't obsessed or anything, are you?

As I've said before, if anyone in Phoenix wants to find out firsthand, let's line the cars up and see what happens. My 330ci against your CL-S...auto, manual, whatever. Dragstrip, autocross, PIR, Firebird, you name it.

I'm not being cocky because I don't know my car can win (although you don't stand a chance if it's at PIR). Let's see what happens!

Because there are more important things than straight-line accelleration. The 3-series with sports package is not a sports car, but it's very, very close. It's as responsive, balanced, and agile as some of the best sports cars on the market. Not as fast, of course, but every bit as fun to drive.

Besides, drag racing is booooooring

The CL-S will spank a 325, plain and simple.
Make sure he is not baiting you. Parts for BMW's are plentiful he may have something under the hood.

Correct, but that was CLS 6-speed and the 330 5-speed... it wasnt the auto CLS.
