Company steals my images!
It kinda irks me that the company used one of my shoots without asking me or the photographer for permission:

I won't mind if you guys post your displeasure with this vendor.
Anyways, I just PM'd the photographer.... not sure if he cares or not. Technically, the photographer owns the right of those pics and they were published and (I believe) sold to a Primedia, which is a major publisher. This could get messy. lol

Do you have to kill the drama in post #2?

That's not the point. I'm irked because they didn't ask me or the photographer. However, the photographer should be LIVID. He's been coming up in the past couple years as a legit photographer. He would love to eventually turn his hobby into a career and only recently has been able to sell his intellectual property. IMHO, it's kinda hard making professional goals when any random company feels they can do something like this, without any ramifications. I'm not saying a lawsuit is in order, but the photo should be removed at the minimum. I think serious photographers on this site would understand my point.

Time to Climb
the same thing happened to me a couple years ago when a tuner shop posted a pic of my car on their website. i simply told them i didn't appreciate the exposure without my permission. they promptly took the photo down, then gave me a few goodies, and then asked permission. to put it up again. good luck

Looks like it's time to put (c) copyright stamps/watermarks on all images you upload from now on.... that way no one will (mistakenly?) infringe upon your copyrights.
If the pics were sold to Primedia..... I'd contact them and let them know about this. That way Primedia can handle this and maybe even sue.
