Close Call

I'm sure you've all heard about people throwing rocks and bricks off bridges. If you google it, you can find many stories of people getting their brains smashed in. Well...

My friend was driving this morning ~1:30a.m. and getting off a ramp at about 60mph, all of a sudden a rock comes flying through his windshield and hits his chest directly. It's crazy to think about how he could've died if it maybe went higher. He's getting checked for broken ribs tomorrow. Here are some pics i took of the damage.

The rock was huge and the glass went everywhere.

Size Comparison of The Rock:

He was on 222 for anyone local. There have been other reports recently. http://www.wgal.com/news/18419687/detail.html

Who ever did it should be thrown off the bridge.

I hope your friend gets better.

I agree.

I dont know how one rock can hit the fender, rearview, and the windsheild. It possibly could've been more than one.

Sorry to hear, but that rock might have some evidence on it. I would have been careful with it.

Kids like that should be burned at the stake.
That's ridiculous.

EDIT: Anally raping them with sharp rusty objects would probably be more deserving.

Your buddy and group of friends should stake out that area, and beat the fuck within an inch of his life.

Magic rock theory?

Seriously, that sucks. I never understand why kids do this knowing the effects could be devastating to the victim or victims.

I got hit with several eggs thrown from a bridge many years ago doing about 65 mph and it scared the shit out of me. I can't imagine a rock coming through the windshield at that speed.

Hope your friend is ok.

They are lucky they didn't kill him or they would be charged with murder. If your going to be a complete asshole at least throw something harmless like water balloons. Glad your friend is okay.

It was around the 222/30 merger point. My friend really can't pinpoint exactly where it happened because he was in shock from a rock flying into him going 60mph. He even continued to drive home, idk how, I guess adrenalin kept him going, and shock didn't make him think right. Even though he was only a couple miles from his house.

damn dude, he is so lucky it didnt hit him in the head. was there an over pass it could have been thrown from? i was out around 11ish on 222 in Reading, 222/30 is far from where i was. you dont know how mad i would be if anyone did that to my car. i most likely would have pulled over and got out of my car and called 911. but i guess adrenalin kept him going, must have been in shock. but at least your friend is still alive.

I don't think there is an overpass, but I drove back to the spot with him and he couldn't tell me where exactly, but around the area there were many spots that they could've used.

I would've been sooo pissed, like I would've been out there for hours looking for whoever threw it.

And yes, he came really close to death. Idk how people can do this
