Hi all....I wanted to share these pictures with you from this weekend at Concours d'Elegance in Amelia Island, FL. They were honoring racing legend Parnelli Jones. Here is the picasa link:

Yeah man! That Caddy was sweet! I'm 99% sure that it was the same car from the movie "The Island" starring Ewan McGregor and Scarlet Johanson...The new Camaro is freakin awesome too.....it makes the Challenger look like a Ford Probe or something in comparison..
By the way.....did anyone notice the bulge on the hood of the Cadillac CTS-V? Hmmmmmmmmm.............I wonder what's under there!

Haha..No Honda's....no techno music....no bikini/wet t-shirt contests, etc....It was a nice walk down the runway (where everyone had to park) too....these events attract a lot of enthusiasts all over the S.E. United States, so visitors were pulling up in Carrera's, Z06's, and 550 Maranello's...I did see a few AMG's and Lambo's too.

The Cadillac Cien is bad ass.... was it a drivable model or what? The bulge in the CTS-V hood is for the intercooler I believe.... its the supercharged LSA, similar to the ZR1's LS9 but a little toned down.
Your loss.
I'm actually glad you put together a gallery of all the pictures instead of stuffing them in a thread to slow down everything. Now I can read comments without having to keep on scrolling down to read the same one. I wonder what was under the hood of that Chevelle with the hood bulge?
Thanks for the pics, so many beautiful cars.

The Cien was not driveable, and neither were the Challenger or Camaro. We actually got a climpse of the trunk of the Camaro-it was just bare sheet metal. They are basically just shells that are steerable/pushable for show purposes. They are light weight and can be pulled around with a golf cart. Actually, some of them had small stickers on the rear windows that read " This is a concept vehicle. Production model may vary."
The Chevelle was a numbers matching car with a 427.
One impressive concept was the Hyundai Genesis (introduced during the super bowl TV ads) -they had three of them there. We picked all through those cars, and I'm impressed-this is definitely Hyundai's push into the luxury market. Standard 20" wheels, and no hyundai badging on the front of the car, or the steering wheel. If you look at it from the front it could pass as a benz/lexus in terms of looks.
also the new Jaguar officially debuted today, but I was sitting in it yesterday!!!!i'm not sure about the looks of it-i think it could pass as a premium trim taurus or something

Okay, maybe I do need glasses, but it looks like the E-Type
^ you're right, that first one is a Ferrari. The second one is a D Jag. That show is just the cream of the crop. Gorgeous stuff, thanks for the pics.
PS: I wish I could have gone to this. I had a plan to "close the loop" so to speak on a collection of racecar driver autographs I have by having Parnelli sign it again. On one page I have from a Langhorne Speedway Indy car race on the old dirt track, I have Parnelli Jones, A.J. Foyt, Johnnie Rutherford, Jimmy Bryant (he died in a crash the day I got this), Bobby Unser and other such famous guys.
