car died. again.

ok the first time, it was the alternator.

2 days later, it was the transmission.

this time.. who knows. the car died after i got it back with the new tranny.

Car wont start over, all electronics come on, but car wont even click or anything. none of the electronics or headlights dim when i try to start it.

I had mitsubishi tow it back in and look at it, and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with the new tranny, and they said that they got it to start because they sat there in my car and locked and unlocked my alarm system for 5 minutes and then it started.

and that was the ADVICE they gave me when i got the car back.

well suprise the fucking car doesnt start no matter how much you play with the damn alarm system.

anyone have any clue what is going on? (i have new battery, new alternator, new tranny.. new belts, new fluid.. wtf is going on???)

That's what I was going to say. I used to have a problem with my old car. None of the electronics were affected but sometimes it would start and then it would not. You can locate the starter and hit it with a hammer. That's what I would have to do to get it started. Did you ask the shop if they already checked it?

Yep, I've done the "hit it with a hammer" trick a bunch of times when I've had cars with starters that would hang up. I've also used a screwdriver to jump the solenoid when those go bad too.

Might be a starter, the solenoid, or something else (like the alarm)... I know that's not really that helpful, but I'd have to guess it's the starter or solenoid, since you say that the car won't crank over (or even click).

Mitsibishi's are known to have battery cable problems too. Make sure it's connected well. LOL, all of my friends have had similar problems like yours. If it doesn't even click something else is wrong.
