Why can't that mileage be right?

I know a ton of people who have multiple cars and several are only used on occasion and put 500-1000 miles tops per year on them. Example, one of my parent's friend's from NY has a BMW 318 convertible (believe it's a 1993) which had ~15k miles when he bought it. Car was babied and used sparingly in a household which had multiple cars. Being in NY and that they have 4 cars when only two adults live in the house currently means it only gets a few hundred miles a year. He takes it out quite a bit, but just around town to run errands, etc...

I also had a weekend car which, if I kept it longer, would have averaged about 400-500 miles a year. Over 15 years it would have only had between 6k and 7500 miles if I kept that average up... so 11,700 for a 15 year old car is not far fetched by any means...

I feel like it would be more expensive if the mileage is correct. And I think it would have been mentioned in the description.

Very European looking which makes sense since he says it is a Eurpopean car

As nice as that car is, I'm still partial to the E28 M5.

Let me put on my BMW Geek Glasses here for just a sec. Daytona Violet is the color of the purple stripe in the ///M logo. Some people will hate but I love it. E34's are one of my favorite cars, the M's are notoriously high maintenance and very expensive to repair. Owning one of these is a labor of love.

Makes me wish I was able to do my own maintenance/repairs.

So many cars I'd be able to take a chance on because I could fix them if they broke.

Wow, I've never seen one before. If I had 15gs sitting around for a rare weekend car, I'd snag that shizzit up in a heartbeat. A 1995 model European car with 340hp and a 6 speed? I wouldn't care if it was hot pink, that's a freaking monster of a deal!

I think it looks great except I wish it was a leather interior. It is very clean and I would have expected the price to be a bit higher to be honest especially if it indeed is a Eurospec motor.

I think the s38 is the same material bmw had been using since the late 70's, and Nikasil is a 90's thing.

Very nice...... And the interior is very European. You could get similar patterns on VW and Mercedes. Hell, MB has had cloth interiors for a very long time. BMW too.

Deleted does it have a 6-speed too?

I actually like the purple, and with gray I don't mind. And I can acknowledge that the blue and the red (///M colors) matches the paint scheme...... but that pattern is just terrible.

Still... it's got the Euro motor! I was indeed considering an E34 M5 at one point seeing its reasonable prices.... then I found out they're pretty pricey to maintain.

Not bad for a 95. Although my '86 E28 has only 10K miles more.

Not much of a purple car fan, but this M5 is clean.

S38 has an iron block. No funky alumanickel-silicony type cylinder treatment.

That and cloth in an e34 M5 is RARE.
