Talking Buying a 88 Crx Si

Sup guys my friend is finally selling me his ride for a reallllllll good price, actually too good to disclose...j/k

ok so what you guys think of this

1988 Honda Crx Si / black / Clean Title
-lowered on Skunk2 coilovers/Tokico blues shocks
-aem cai
-brand new tires

heres the good part;

comes with a Legit (his uncles) gen2/1993 integra ls motor w/5spd tranny
only thing missing is ECU but im not worrying about that....B18 motor has less than 60k on it.

all this for; $900!!

just thought i'd share this good news...i really miss driving a manual, and if i pick this up i can keep the CLS lower-mileage and also save gas at the same time!

Great pick up I was about to tell you swap that biatch but it's already done. Now since you have the LS in there it's perfect platform for boosting

I love CRXs. I miss my 1990 CRX Si. I used to autocross it. That thing was SO much fun to take to the track.

the motor is not in the car its just an extra engine on the side...oh yeah btw his stock sohc has like 190K on it and it still runs strong...and he just replaced the clutch barely a year...for the mean time im going to run the stock motor while the B18 is getting build up...probably stock internal with a custom turbo kit/ maybe just bolt ons/ or even LS Vtec....we will see..but i have big plans for this car...

Good pickup, especially with the Integra engine. Flyweight cars, what is it 1800lbs.?
Not sure, but you might need to modify the hood for clearance with the B-motor swap.

Ex owner of a B20VTEC 1988 CRX Si here... 11.6 cr, stock head, 171whp / 140wft-lbs on a Mustang dyno. Car was a hoot to drive. With a B16 trany it would rev like a m*ther f*cker, and would have plenty of torque in 5th gear @ 30mph that I wouldn't need to downshift to drive around town.

Ran a 13.7 @ 102mph on my first try, no LSD, Falken Azenis tires.

Sold it, cat was completely gutted, battery in trunk, and it gave me too much of a headache.

It was a kickass weekend warrior but I needed it as a daily driver too, and it was just too much. I'd get a headache after driving it for 5 minutes.

Cost me 20K to build, sold it for 10.

niice...i've always dreamed of having a CRX..especially an 88si..even though it doesn't come with stock rear disc brakes...the suspension is almost identical to itr suspension...check this bad boy out!

no...dun go turbo

stay with N/A and u will love the VTEC

drop a higher final drive ratio and some bolt ons and the car is fast enough

on the track the N/A ones are faster than turbo if the track has more corners
