Bubbles in my tint!

So I got my car tinted back in mid January and was pretty much told that if there were any problems with my tints bubbling then I could get them redone pro bono (since it was really cold and my main concern was they would not dry fast enough).

Most of these are pretty small bubbles, however they are on ALL my windows. Now I don't know if this is something normal since I've never had my windows tinted, but my friends said it should definately not be there. Especially on a $200 tint job that's guaranteed by one of the best tinters in town. I feel like it's a small thing to complain about and ask for a new tint job, but this is something I didn't want.

Here are the photos attached with pictures of a few of the prevalent bubbles

Mine had bubbles that dissapeared in a couple of days, just as the tinter explained. But considering it's a bit chilly in the Land of Lincoln, I'd give it a few more days. After that...get a refund or a redo.

BTW, did they tint the entire window (open door panel) or just the exposed area?

You have bubbles in your tint

tints, for the bazillionth time, is not a fucking word. and make people who use it sound retarded.

And yes take it back....I just had my pathfinder done and my driverside got them, And an area in the back. And I'm having it redone next week because the tint guy was an asshole. And I'm gonna sit there and watch him fix....he also did a sloppy job on one window and tried to talk his way out of it.

I dont see how it is TINT.

I mean one peice of TINT can be called it, but you have many peices of TINT on your car...

SO why not call it TINTS!

Tint is a noun and in plural form, it's spelled...tints.

I would say that the plural is still tint, in this case.

"I ordered 3 boxes of cards"
"I ordered 3 boxes of tint"

Saying "I ordered 3 boxes of tints", is improper.

I used the card example to show that that is the proper place for a plural. Pardon my persistent alliteration in this portion of the thread.

Anyway, I read the title as "Bubbles in my tits!".

That is all.

Sorry about the typo, I missed that typo, it's early in the morning. Anyway, I was told that when I first got my tints they told me water might need some time to evaporate out. However I've had these on for a good 25+ days now and these bubbles haven't gotten smaller, nor does it look like the other water bubbles.

i honestly would not get tint in the winter unless the car is gonna be in a heated garage for at least a week. i don't think the adhesive really gets to dry properly. i would tell them about it and see if you can come back in the spring when it's warmer

No, the plural is the same as the singular...tint.

I have tint on my windows. My windows are tinted.

Its a typo then you do it again

Tinting in the winter is cheaper..but has drawbacks as dallison is saying.

Its different in Cali because I had bright sun to leave my truck out in for two days. I have never had to go back and have a car redone til now, and I think its because of the lazy, moddy, piece of shit who did my windows.

I have taken the car back, made a complaint to the company, and scheduled to have the problems fixed next thursday (they contract him, so he is only there thur/fri.)

If he fucks it up again...I'll take it back to him again. and again and again. But I dont think there will be any problems after this next time.

"tints" would be the plural form referring to more than one shade/color of tint..... ex. "you have four different tints to choose from?"

It is not the plural form of more than one cutout of tint from the same sheet... ex. (from sarlacc) "I have tint on my windows".

(now this is truly a ramblings thread)

most places that install window tints offer a warranty on their work, typically I see 1 year up here so take it back!

But since I have more than 1 window tinted and bubbles on all the windows, shouldn't each window tint accounted for be tints?

Anyway I called it in and they said they'd fix it for free.

because tint is both singular and plural.

Just say tint and tinted from now on, and you'll be fine

I had my windows tinted in cold ass February a few years ago. The bubbles were there for a little longer than a month. It was a bit irritating at first, but they eventually all went away.

Everyone told me to take it back, but I didn't. The shop was supposed to be one of the best in town, and they had done my brother's car before and it came out perfect. So I waited and it paid off. Not a single problem with the tinted windows after the bubbles went away.

Have patience, especially when you get it done during the cold months. It takes longer for the bubbles to go away.

Actually, tint is correct according to the Mirriam-Webster dictionary I have in front of me (one of those dusty old brown ones).

Some examples:

I have three layers of tint on my windows.

View our selection of availiable tint.

I have just obtained tint for my windows. (notice how it's not tints)

Those cars all have tinted windows. (NOT "Those cars all have tints.")

Considering everyone is repeating exactly what I said...

Back to the topic at hand

I had my windows tinted in cold ass February a few years ago. The bubbles were there for a little longer than a month. It was a bit irritating at first, but they eventually all went away.
The guy told me they'd be gone in about two weeks. And on top of things I don't think those bubbles look like the ones that will go away, especially the ones on the dot matrix. Anway I called in and they said they'd retint my car for free. So I'll just go back to get my tint done when it's warmer outside.
