Bro's getting a new car!

my little bro is gettin a car! he is turning 17 in a month and has almost a full year of driving experience and record is clear. he is in a huge dilema and needs your guys help on which to pick. his choices are:

07 Scion TC 5MT
07 Mazda3 5MT
07 Mazda6 5MT
07 Honda Accord LX Coupe 5MT

which would you guys recommend? he's just looking for something that is good all-around. what are the pro's and con's of each? which would perform better? and anything else that i/my bro should kno about?

thanks~

"The tC is the most attractive of the youth-oriented Toyota brand. Scion's have mass young gay appeal with customizable packages and teen prices. Could Toyota have gotten it right yet again?"

Mazda 3 = most bang for your buck (out of the 4 you listed)

Mazda 3, without a doubt. The tC is a terrible driver's car and the Mazda 6 and Accord seem more suitable for a family on a budget.

The only one I would knock off the list (out of personal preference only) is the Mazda 6. It's bigger, but not nearly as nice or well-put together as the Mazda 3 (made in Japan vs. USA).

I would personally go with Accord Coupe. Better styling IMO. I have biased opinion on Mazda just because I drove their pick-up truck B3000 for about 2.5 years and absolutely hate it.

Oh yea and I feel sorry for your parents if they are paying for you and your bro's insurance. I understand you guys might have clean record but damn can you imagine paying auto insurance for two boys (17 and 18)????? yikes.

I'd put the Civic Si as an option. Out of those 4, I like the Accord the most.

I'd take a 07 Accord Coupe...even though I liked the previous generation coupe better.

You can get a mazdaspeed3 sport for msrp for 22k, thats the same ballpark as the Civic Si. For about 3 grand less I would still choose a Mazda3 5door. Test drove a sedan with my GF and i fell in love with this car.

Tc didnt really impress me at all

while i do prefer the civic si to the four that were mentioned, since it's not an option here, i'd go with the mazda3.

and what's wrong with the tc? i like it. if i was 17-21, i wouldn't mind having one.

but i'd take the mazda3 over the tc because as someone said, it's probably a better value for the money. the tc's can get pretty expensive, i hear.

Mazda3 or the Accord. The only thing is with a coupe, if he's going to be carting around friends, having only 2 doors might get old. What about the sedan?

I'd be afraid to park a Civic Si anywhere for fear of it being stolen. Not to mention the insurance is probably high. And I have to agree with others who don't like the dash....why is the center console crooked?! I hate that!

It just isn't much of a driver's car. Drives too much like a Toyota...

u guys are Definately right about the TC, i took a step inside of it today at the dealer, and wow..the interior is simply Crap! its horrible! its worse than a matchbox toy car! interior is seriously a joke. i was soo disappointed. the mazda 3's interior is such a Beauty compared to the Tc.
