Boost meter for a SC NSX

Quick question... I installed a Comptech SC on my NSX and I was wondering if I should install a boost meter on the car? If so, any recommended brands?

Thanks

meh... with a S/C'er there are more important things to worry about other than boost. It's not like a turbo where you can overboost. Oil pressure, fuel pressure, Air/Fuel, etc.

Try Defi or Autometer gagues

Actually if it was that important, the comptech package would come with one... I think it's a good to have but probably not a must have...

Like MrSteve said, it's a SC,not a turbo...

Do not be fooled my friend... Boost is important.... the question is "Do you want to know what is going on under the hood while you are driving or not?"

Without a boost gauge in your cabin... how will you never know if your belt is slipping and you are lossing boost at Wide Open Throttle......

guages are an important tool.....
.. YOU own a NSX!!!. monitor it. .

That's my point of asking about asking which boost gauge to get... I want to know if I'm not loosing boost or getting too much boost. I wouldn't want to have to get a new engine...

I'm actually surprised Comptech doesn't offer one as an add on or something...

All boost gauges work the same, but there are mechanical and electrical ones. The electrical gauges are more precise and much more difficult to install. The mechanical ones are easier to install and generally cheaper. I've used gauges from VDO and Omori. The VDO one's are cheaper, but they buzzed like hell under boost. I tossed that in favour for a electical one (Omori boost gauges). Obviously, the price you pay is dependent on the materials used. I was also considering Autometer gauges. My friend has this in his supercharged Xterra and he has no problems with it.

If you have a slipping belt you'll hear it. Trust me. That blower sits about 12" from your ear. Belt slip will cause a very noticable change in tone and volume of the blower.
