It's been that way for awhile.. with hemi cuda CLONES going for over 100K, it's tough for regular joes to get into a decent musclecar...

When all these babyboomers with tons of disposable cash die off, the prices might come back to earth a little, but I wouldn't count on it...

40 year old cars in original condition will always command a premium... Only 3 things count in classic cars, Condition, Condition, and Condition

There are some classic car bargains out there still... like early porsche 911's

Just buy one already.

And yeah, its been up there for awhile. Its actually seemed to cool off a little in recent years.

And the real deal Cudas are going for 10x the clones

I originally wanted my first car to be a 60's corvette. Once I made it back into the real world I realized I would never be able to afford one and had to "settle" on the mustang. I would kill for one of those...one of the best looking cars made

that is one of the sexiest mint rides I have ever seen. anyone that thinks that is ugly does not understand the heritage and prestige the accompanies this car. I would looks at this over an Enzo anyday and would rather cruise around in this beast.

Love the car but honestly rather have a split window coupe.

BJ and the other auctions are building a huge bubble, maybe I am wrong but I think it is going to pop harder and faster than the exotics did a couple of decades ago.

Hard to know what the space-man ownership is worth, something for sure but I am seeing musclecars with similar provenance sold like they have a racing history. It is one thing to have a Grand Am multiple winner built by the likes of Bud Moore and raced by a perpetual winner but not sure the provenance here will carry it after the bubble bursts, also I can figure no reason they wouldn't wait for the Scottsdale BJ, thats the place for this type of car, wouldn't be surprised to see it there next year if it changes hands.

What a magnificent car.

However, if I had the change to track down a Vette like that, I'd try to find the only documented '63 Z06 roadster................

I was in a local Corvette show last Sunday and there was a 67 convertible parked right next to me.
It arrived in an enclosed trailer.
Fully restored w/ 427 motor, side pipes, and the works.
It had 5,400 original miles and a shitload of awards and certifications that don’t mean a clue to me.
The owner said it’s currently insured for 300K.

Needless to say his car got a LOT more looks then mine.
And to depress me even more, he has EIGHT other miscellaneous vintage Vette’s at home and a 2007 Z06 on order.

A co worker had a 67 sting ray vert. Numbers matching, blue, with white top & the 427. He sold it back in 02 for $85K. That was a steal. Man they jumped in price recently.
