Lucky.

That's exactly the color NSX and year (2002+) I'd buy, were prices not going stratospheric lately.

Back to Acura....NSX

I'm just biding my time until the new NSX is on the road and the "me first" types are trading in their 1G NSXs for new. I will have a NSX eventually...

There are NSX's out there to be had for sure, but depends what you're looking for, willing to pay, mileage and condition. Hard to find low mile, mint condition for under 65k for an 02+. With the new one coming out, I dont see the values dropping any time soon, and the more NSX's lost, the more rare and valueable they become.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if some guys with their 1G NSX's keep while adding the 2G to their stable based on the rarity and value.

There's a size comparo thread on an NSX forum and it's incredible how the NSX looks next to any other car.

My neck hurts from looking up at the car next to me at every light.

How does the NSX fare to some of the modern cars, in performance?

Say M3, or a Porsche?

Just a quick capture on my way home today.
Going to drop it an inch and add spacers very soon. Should make the stance a litte more aggressive. No aftermarket wheels in the future as I love the stock forged wheels. Think they look great with the car so we will see how the shocks/spacers add to the look.

The problem is- those who can afford the new NSX right off the bat, likely will not be selling their old NSX. There was a thread about this topic on NSXprime. While I'm sure maybe a few extras will show up for sale, I don't think it will be all that many. You can rest assured the prices won't be going down though. There's too much demand the the NSX.

While pricey now, in 5 years you'll be kicking yourself for not buying one now, because you'll just be paying even more then!

Yeah, that's why I haven't moved on an NSX yet. Prices are too crazy and I thankfully have two excellent "fun" cars, one of them über-rare, that are paid off. I should have moved five years ago when the NSX market was soft.

That's what my friends and family say. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the mod bug has hit yet again so what's the harm in making it sit a little more prettier right?!

+1 - I love these stock NSX wheels and the spacers will only make them look better.

The NSX looks great but I still prefer a older NSX with the drop down headlights - looks more aggressive / sportier.

Dream car of mine as well idc if it's in manual or automatic.

Btw is anyone dumb enough to slap a sc or turbo these engine? It's been done plenty but why mess with an engine like that

I remember seeing these cars go for like 25k at very low miles 6 years ago but then again that was shortly after the recession,

They've nearly double the price for similar miles. I'm waiting for the nsx bubble to pop 😳

It won't happen. These cars are now approaching collector status. Even look through this thread alone- everyone wants one. As long the demand is there, the prices will only climb.

Many have SC and Tubo'ed.
Comptech makes a bolt on that from what I have learned is one of the "safe mods" that doesn't put a lot of stress on the motor.

Please enlighten me on why it's dumb to boost an nsx.

There are two trains of thought when it comes to the NSX...

Group 1 says: Let's improve on whatever Honda left lacking from the factory. Mod it, boost it, make it better!

Group 2 says: The NSX may not be perfect (as no car is), but it is a gem, and a damn good one at that, and changing it's characteristics is sacrilegeous.

I think both groups have valid thoughts, for different reasons. I myself fall under group 2. Although I agree the NSX could use some more power, I would never boost it. The car comes from a time when having XXX hp wasn't important. The driving feel, sound and cornering abilities is what made Honda's of yesteryear shine.

same thing about Hot Rod vs. Restored Classics.

I personally prefer the classics, Stock S2000 and stock NSX.
Putting turbo/SC on S2000 and NSX will definitely make them faster but something would be lost along the way.

OK I think I am done modding for my first summer of ownership.
Wanted a more aggressive than stock look yet conservative for our Chicago roads.

Installed Bilstein shocks (lower perch setting) and H&R spacers 25mm Rear / 15mm Front. Exactly the look I was going for and looks amazing in person.

Well that's a kick to the groin. Lol
I said I installed spacers. 25mm rear / 15mm front.

Wasn't about to explore 25mm in the front because very few have done it and you risk hurting the turning radius after its lowered and aligned.

Now that I'm not on my phone its easier to see the pictures on a larger screen. The before pictures look good but when comparing against the after pictures it looks like the car was nose heavy...
