Interesting choice. I like the look of the Crosstrek. Then again, I am a wagon guy at heart. The lack of power, though....not so much like for that. Glad the hybrid adds something to it.

I believe the actual spec says about 15bhp more, but the electric motor torque makes it feel like more if that makes sense.

Hey Bob, how about a new title? Something catchy like:

50 cars by 50
or
I am an Autoholic
or...

I drove a 5MT XV last year. I like the car, but the power was quite underwhelming, interior a bit lacking since you can't get the MT on a Limited.

Wow, 3 months in and I still drive the Subie. It does seem more like three years though. So in keeping with my "I won't buy any more new cars" mantra, it's time to upgrade the MR2 again! I've done a bunch to it already and was going back and forth on swapping in a 2zz to bring the bhp from 130 to about 170. It dawned on me that I have a perfectly good (only 48k miles) 1zz that I can tweak. I ordered a set of Crower cams and springs, a power FC, new intake and complete exhaust with headers. According to MWR I'll see about 155whp from it. She's already a 15 sec quarter mile car and I'm hoping to see high 13's now. Plus it rides like it's on rails,

Has the MR2 seen any track time? Looks like an absolute blast.

Not yet. Spent last summer working on suspension and some other toys. Once I give it a good bump in hp this spring I will.

I picked it up today. By far the best car I've owned. Ride, handling and acceleration are all top notch. It has magnetic ride control and everything else. Bang & Olefson... Just too much. 0-60 in 4.6 with launch control. Dual clutch that blips the throttle on down shifts. Paddle shifters that are almost instant.

Congrats! Those cars look awesome in person. And saying it's the best car you've owned must be quite the compliment.

Nice. Enjoy.

In my mid 40s I've owned more homes than cars.

91 Acura Integra GS
99 Acura TL
13 Hyundai Genesis RSpec sedan.

4 homes

So did buying and S3 have anything to do with it being year 33?

Ride and handling is exceptional. The four mode selector has true differences in all from steering weight and feel to ride quality. Put it in dynamic mode (sport) and it begs to go. Haven't pushed it yet, but already know what it can do in acceleration.
What got me the most were the brakes. Not touchy, but firm and solid. Virtually no pedal travel before engagement The Bang & O sound system is incredible too. So much win here it's overloading me.

S3 looks really good! As mentioned, silver is very flattering. Cars rarely look that good in stock form.

What a beautiful car. Love the S3. I just wish it came in manual transmission as well.

Probably ten or so over the years but AZine is like that old friend you don't have to talk to every day. I have no other threads like this anywhere else.

we had a 2012 3.8 and an rspec. Liked the 12's but loves the 15. Ride is incredible and handling. They made great strides.

And this young lady....

Was a good enough reason for the wife to trade in the Genesis on this. See, every car has a reason...
